LONDON, England (CNN) -- The BBC's highest paid celebrity has lost more than $2 million after being suspended without pay for a series of abusive telephone calls made by himself and another of the broadcaster's stars.
Talkshow host Jonathan Ross, 47, and comedian Russell Brand, 33, have been at the center of a row after they attempted to contact comedy actor Andrew Sachs for an interview on Brand's weekend Radio 2 show earlier this month.
...
Ross and Brand rang Sachs -- who played a Spanish waiter in John Cleese's 1970s TV comedy "Fawlty Towers" -- but when it dawned on them that he was not around, they left a series of messages on the veteran actor's phone, joking about Brand's sexual relationship with Sachs' granddaughter Georgina Baillie, 23.

que?
Russell Brand is about as funny as Barack Obama’s marxist ideology.
Someone would be smart to get him in a headlock and take an electric razor to his peacock hair doo.
I saw him on either Leno or Kimmel one night as I was changing channels. I thought he was a girl.
Don’t mind him, he’s from Barcelona.
These guys are huge stars and huge, over-rated ego maniacs. Unfortunately, they’ll bounce back bigger than ever.
Manuel (Saks) is one of the better characters ever invented. Que?
Allow me to rewrite the headline: “Two toe-rags lose a bunch of money”
Wikipedia says he’s bi-polar
The UK doesn’t f*** around when it comes to libel/slander.
Jonathan Ross did a good documentary series in the 1990s called the Incredibly Strange Film Show where he interviewed a number of cult directors for British television (tv 4?) including Santo, HG Lewis, and Russ Meyer.
He later did another series but I don’t recall the title of it (he interviewed Alexandro Jodorowsky and some other cult directors).
And then he’s also done the usual talk show stunts.
That wouldn't be smart. That could be where he hides his needles.
Bill Clinton had to edit some of his passages on Kenneth Starr when he published his autobiography in England to avoid libel.
I’d be kind of curious to learn how Sachs, the victim, feels about the matter. The article doesn’t say.
Extra Primo Good, Mr. Fawlty!
BTW, he had a bit part as the waiter on the beach at the very end of "Trading Places" with Dan Ackroyd and Eddie Murphy too.
