The Beginning of the end, 51% = R.I.P. U.S.A.

Posted on 11/04/2008 9:21:49 PM PST by rick400tec

When the Democrats reach 51% of Americans exempt from paying income tax, they will be the dominant party without challenge. 51% will grow to 52%, 54% until the end, (bankruptcy) of the U.S.A. With the national debt equaling $480,000 per household before the bailouts, the Democrats controlling all three branches of government, How far off can this be?

Good question. If a majority of the country can’t get off of the couch and expects to be bought off next April, what can we do about that?

An economically decimated America will be an awfully inviting target to our enemies.

Obama's attempts to appease them will only embolden them more.

I'm not as worried about our country's financial health as I am about our literal survival at this point.

Welcome to the end of America. We just watched that grand experiment started 232 years ago enter its final days...

The Declaration of Independence claimed that among our rights are the rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. We have now seen those three rights disappear.

Life? Abortion is the law of the land, and assisted suicide is grabbing hold.

Liberty? Try holding a contrarian viewpoint, one critical of the State, or Marxism.

Pursuit of Happiness? Only those pursuits sanctioned by the State and for which you have been selected. And of course as long as you are willing to give to those around you enough of your own resources so they can enjoy the same pursuits...

We’ve tipped, and now it’s a matter of how long until the crash.

You’re pretty much correct.

I think down the line the last gasp will be to restore the republic with a military coup.

I don’t think it’s going to work though, all it will do is restore the facade of a republic while being a military dictatorship.

Time to shrug, Atlas. Bigtime. Start a ranch or a farm and work at a subsistence level. Barter. Buy used from trusted others. Learn to write letters again. Learn Morse Code and how to operate a ham radio. Buy a shortwave.

Is there a good place to go before the BIG implosion?

In reality, the US only needs to be weak and the rest of the world will run amok.

I tend to agree. The grand experiment is over.

And to the Believers, the End Times are near...

How far off can this be?

Could it coincide with the Mayan calender ending at 2012?

I’m buying an island in the Philippines. Perhaps several Freepers can get together and buy a nice little archipelago of islands to retire to... At least they don’t care what kind of armaments you have, and given that 30 year old T-72 tanks are only $10,000 on the gray market, you could defend yourself against just about any non-Government.

And most of the Governments in SE Asia really still respect businesses and money, meaning it’s easy to buy them off, to make them look the other way.

Obama looks like he's just won the date he thought he'd never get with a beautiful princess. He looks very frightened by the reality that he's the only one of his supporters who realizes he's not at all ready for the job.

I don't think he's tough enough to deal with all of the demands that his supporters will make. He's never taken a punch and gotten up. He's never played any rough and tumble sports and of course he has no military training. Like Bill Clinton, he seeks to please everyone to compensate for a lack of parental attention, but he lacks Clinton's toughness (as brutal as it was).

It's been a long time since we've had such an egg shell for a President. To quote Joe Biden's mother: "God help him."

I already live in fly-over country, have lots of ham radios, know morse well, family farms, know how to hunt and we are well armed.

After the Civil War they tried to subject this state & failed miserably. It was the black republican party and political abuse then.

My ancestors were burned out of Alabama after the Civil war, and settled in Texas in the 1870’s. It took over 100 years and a leftist takeover of the Democratic party to erase that.

That said, we have recently seen what a commie (Mugabe) did to a stable and well fed country in a short period of time.

BO’s radical friends talked about supressing the counter revolution back in the 60’s. I am not afraid of a bunch of 60’s hippies, but now they will be in charge of the military and are talking about a civilian federal police force. That will trigger a war.

My predictions:

1. African aid jumps to the 10-digit figures. When Bush gave a record $40 billion for AIDS in Africa, the Left bemoaned how little it was. Look for sub-Saharan Africa to get more monetary aid than the rest of the world combined.

2. The Fairness Doctrine gets touted once more, but still actually fails.

3. Tax increases are hidden, couched as fees, etc. Actual rates rise about 10% for everyone.

4. Reparations get some consideration, but also fail.

5. Hillarycare style Health Care “reforms” take place. It was tried once, so it’s had time to sink in as “harmless” and “just not tried the right way yet”.

6. The Iraq drawdown is slower than we might have feared, but are enough to destabilize Iraq’s new government. They have a new system in place in 3 years, invite our troops to leave, and then the purges begin. 2-3 million are dead or displaced.

7. Corporate taxes (now the second highest in the world) become the highest in the world. American companies have zero incentive to stay home. Attempts are made to punish those attempting to restructing abroad, but that does not diminish the impact of several of the big names going away.

8. Russia, Iran, and Syria rattle their sabres. Lebanon is occupied again, several portions of former Russian republics get “repatriated”, and Iran uses the UN to put some real hurtin’ on Israael. Venezuela, Cuba, and Saudi Arabia become very cooperative, and are seen as foreign policy victories for Obama.

9. Those at the top economically do really well, those just behind lose significantly, and those in the upper middle class have nowhere to go but down. Entrepreneurship in America becomes so cumbersome that the real do-ers start to honestly consider other nations that may be friendlier to a go-getter... in surprising places including Asia and Eastern Europe (Poland, especially).

10. The borders become irrelevant, and America’s population jumps 11% in the next 3 years (that’s 34 million people, or another California... or 3 more Pennsylvanias).

Everyone is so gloomy. It’s understandable, but guys, it’s not the end. We lived though Jimmy Carter and a Dem super majoity and then we got the best president America ever had as a result.

It’s going to be a bumpy ride in the years ahead, but don’t ever lose faith or your principles, just keep on writing and calling your congress people, and doing everything you can to be heard.

This situation kind of reminds me of the Footprints poem.
“LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me.”

The LORD replied:

“My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”

Where to go? What county? I pray for Texas secession, perhaps several other regional states joining in. I lived there several years. Sea ports, defense manufacturing, technology (Dell), a Space program (Houston, we have liftoff)... Few states could stand on their own and prosper as Texas could.

Texas is a free and independent State ... All political power is inherent in the people ... they have at all times the inalienable right to alter their government in such manner as they might think proper.

Questions to ask:
Will we ever see the REAL final numbers from this election?
What about absentee ballots?
What abouth military votes?
What about the provisional ballots?
Will there be any challenges? Or will the left be allowed to ram through their own set of numbers and claim victory?
will b.o. be the first sitting president to be impeached and actually removed from office?
Will he allow Israel to be destroyed?
Will gasoline be over $5 a gallon in less than a year?
Will unemployment reach 10% by the 2010 elections?
Will there even be elections held in 2010?
Will everyone not currently working be forced to dig ditches to make it look like everyone has a job?
How many people will openly declare themselves a socialist?
Will the communist party come out in the open and win seats to Congress in 2010?
Will law enforcement be restricted from protecting those who are identified as conservatives, and those people hounded and investigated and prosecuted for "crimes"?
Will the b.o.'ites strut the streets and be immune from prosecution as they do whatever they want wherever they want?
Will people who speak out against the "0"'s (zero's) policies and decisions be branded as racist and prosecuted for hate crimes?

The list could go on endlessly . . . . .

Last time the Roman republic fell was when Christ came.

It would come full circle if he were to come again when the second Rome falls.
