And let us pray that is the last campaign promise he is able to fulfill.

It’d be nice. Rush’s contract is tied up with Clear Channel.

And some of the stations are receptive to suggestions to change the local news carriers. Others are not. Staff and management at conservative talk radio stations is not exclusively conservative.

Here is townhall.com’s network of stations. Don’t know how much funding there is between them but a lot of them have the same hosts and website layouts

http://townhall.com/search.aspx
(upper right hand corner Find Stations)

http://1070knth.townhall.com/

Talk Radio: Bill Bennett Mike Gallagher Dennis Prager Michael Medved Hugh Hewitt

One thing I would like to see, is more LOCAL conservative talk radio. Here in Houston 700AM has a couple of hours in the morning and afternoon with some local talk which can focus on local issues and local elections and local perspectives. 740AM has some people who give local talk but I can’t say they are that conservative, 1070AM (the townhall station) has some local commentary and even had local election coverage last night. No full program usually but at least at the hourly breaks there is some local commentary.

1430AM is a historically black owned station in Houston and it has a religious spirit. Not all of the hosts agree politically and even in the case of Obama, there was not full support. Some of the religiously grounded hosts could not support Obama over the issues of abortion and homosexuality. Others could. Based on how some of the hosts held up skin color and redistribution of wealth over the issues of a right to life or redefining what is sin, I cannot say that they are conservative. The Bible may have wanted us to be charitable to those without but it is against the 10 Commandments to be envious of what your neighbor has and it is against the 10 Commandment to take what your neighbor has.

Staff and management at conservative talk radio stations is not exclusively conservative.

Thats why it has to be up to the more popular ones to leave once their contracts are up and risk a less lucrative contract on principle.

But I don't think the conservative movement is there yet.

Buddy was the second dog used as a prop by the Clinton’s. They had a cocker spaniel when in the Gov. Mansion in Arkansas. Care to guess his fate? Also run over by a car.

I do Cocker Rescue, the Clinton’s would never pass our adoption screening.

I feel as if we are going to get a warm story out of this family every day. It’s like the people who stage a house on the house flip shows. The experts come in and make an ugly or weird place look adorable.

You’re spot on.

I was a teen in the early 1960s when the US media was breathlessly in love with the Kennedys. I didn’t really understand why my Irish Catholic Dad hated the Kennedys. (of course I do now)

Obamas: Camelot II

The Kennedy years were only named Camelot in JFK’s passing. It was Jackie’s idea for his lasting legacy.

The Obamas = Carter II.

There are a whole lot of Billy Carters in this extended family.

So you’re one of those puppy adoption nazis, huh? It’s no wonder puppy mills thrive and homeless dogs continue to be put to sleep. It’s easier to adopt a kid than it is to adopt a shelter dog.

I don’t know, a cute puppy running amok in the White House might make this all a little less painful... I hope it chews up Michelle’s awful wardrobe.

The first day Obama is in office, everything will be perfect. Make sure you tell everyone. They should expect it.
