As to Obama, you can judge him by the friends he keeps. It is odd mixture of Clinton operatives and Carter advisors with a smattering of some of the biggest extremists this country has ever seen.
Time will tell if he is more of a pragmatist than an idealist, but on the major issues he is so far wrong that the stock market is all ready tanking with the news of his presidency. Get ready for high (not higher) taxes, invasive IRS practices, expensive gasoline, and destructive policy with national health care and foreign relations.
No, he may not use the military, but by the time he is through, you will see great adventurism by tyrants world wide because of his perceived weakness. In short, he is an accident that has happened and a train crash in the making....

Why wouldn’t you give your Presidential candidate the same scrutiny that you would, say, a Used Car Salesman. You seem to have fallen for his slick marketing campaign, but if you look at his actual legislative record (ie actions instead of words), you’ll see that he isn’t this nice, sweet moderate man you believe.

The one thing that really sticks in my mind is when BHO was speaking in front of bunch of left-wing-nut-jobs in Oregon (after or before a free concert, of course). After saying Americans shouldn’t expect to drive as much as they do, he went on to say that Americans shouldn’t expect to eat as much as they want to. I can understanding pandering, but this way beyond anything I’ve ever heard before. I don’t expect hearing this junk from someone who wants to be our President.
Required national service in the form of community service hours? 50 - 100 hours per year? What the hell is that? The new Massah? Da Kingfish? This is for school age children through college. Read Zero's own new gov page. Will required service come for the rest of us too?

IF you recall, Bush also ran as a uniter in ‘00, based on his experience as Governor of Texas working with Dems in the legislature. The other side never, ever gave him a chance. Conversely, Obama has NO history of reaching across the aisle. If Sen. McCain voted with the president 90% of the time, Obama voted with Harry Reid 98% of the time.
Maybe the GOP will not reciprocate in kind.
