I came in at the end of Taps being played at the NYSE with a large American Flag in the background above the opening bell podium on Fox Business.
My thought was, how apt to play Taps for the economy and my country. 4 July, 1776, to 4 November, 2008. Rest in Peace America.
It was a good ride but now we have blown up the tracks.
IMHO, we simply have to muster, and stand. One thing we can do immediately is write our GOP senators and urge them to stand.
While standing up in any way we can ourselves over these next four years until we can turn this OBAMANATION out.
Over? Did you say over? Nothing's over until we decide it is. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor...?
I do not see any leadership from an opposition yet. It had better emerge quickly or my house and yours will become a compound worthy of some assault by BO’s domestic security forces.
man up. It’s not anywhere close to over. Sorry but America has been through way worse than Barack Obama.
Not an apt analogy...We have an illegal alien (probably) in charge of our armed forces.
The Germans didnt nuke an American city..
Interesting times await..
i.e. or rape a mall or grade school....
Far from over! Just now we will be fighting three wars!
BO will think taps when the people stand up not take any more liberal agenda he might put out.
We have not yet begun to fight!
Senator Butarsky is that you?
In before you get corrected by someone unfamiliar w/ Animal House! :)
A new Conservative will arise out of this, much better than McCain or the other lukewarm Conservatives we’ve had to choose from of late.
It Ain’t over!!!
Just time to stand and fight!
We are in a time of turmoil and strife, time for all good and honorable men and woman to stand and deliver! The ill winds blowing across America are temporary. We are much much stronger and better than this.
Are we to let this great Nation go the way of Europistan or Londonistan? Are we to capitulate to the folks who believe in NOTHING!!!!
I THINK NOT!!!!!
The Republican party has capitulated to the enemies of the state but we as conservative know how to improvise, adapt, overcome and I for one will be damned before I let the marxists among us win. We must stand strong as only American patriots know how.
Forgot not who we are, we are the folks who pioneered across a strange land, and built a nation unequaled in history and who remains that beacon on the hill to which others aspire.
This fight is not over as long as ONE will carry the flag!
You are such a quitter and a wimp....
I’m totally bummed that Obama got elected. I’m totally bummed that the majority of my fellow Americans could not see through this fraud called Obama.
But I am not giving up on my country and I think it is PATHETIC for you to suggest same.
Now’s the time for our Bluto to stand up and make himself known...!
Bye. I’ll be here, and so will millions of patriots. It will take more than one skinny Dem radical to dent, let alone destroy, the USA. So we’ll fight the fight. But don’t come back when we win and try to claim you were on the battle lines too.
Sorry, but the people have chosen socialism and libertine humanism as the national ethos. Fight it all you want, but that's the way it is.
Any change in this trend will not come through traditional means, and will not come without great pain.
BS! The election was a referendum on Bush more than a vote for socialism. Bush disappeared the past 4 years. He was an inarticulate stumblef#ck who took the country farther left than Clinton did.
Our job is to regain control of the GOP, toss out the RINOs and recast the message of conservatism using fresh faces. Michael Steele RNC. Jindal/Palin 2012.
I happen to agree with you..When the vast majority of your fellow citizens rush to vote for Marxism, we are in a pickle. I have not seen a coherent opposition to the trend. We are leaderless. Of course, you can take a stand at your house when they come for you, but that is a rather ineffective way to deal with saving the country. We do not have a polarizing opposition as yet. I am still hopeful we can get that kind of leadership, but McCain is certainly not it with his collaborations in the past with the Democrats.
Or, as the late football player Jerome Brown said (as played over and over by Jim Healy), "Did the Japanese go and sit down and have dinner with Pearl Harbor before they bombed him?"
LS do you have the Quote from Sam Adams about hoping tht the chains lay lightly on those that refuse to take up arms against tyranny?
