They are scared. They see what they saw in Russia. They cannot figure out why Americans are doing this to themselves.
I know FReepers are reading this type of posting but how many of you believe we are in trouble versus just a black Jimmy Carter and the same 'ol Dems?
I see some serious, serious things happening to us in the coming years.
But what I don't see is Americans reacting as they should be reacting to their freedom being dramatically diminished -- not to mention their standard of living as the counterfeiting operation (Federal Reserve) prints money like the LA Times prints propaganda (every dollar above replacement bills that they print diminishes the real value of your dollar).
You are being robbed, lied to, deceived, made the fool, betrayed in any number of ways and yet I don't see a real response.
What am I missing? Is there something in the water?

30 years ago millions followed a great deceiver with questionable origins who promised them "Change" from an unpopular leader. Sounds familiar? I'm talking about Khomeini. Having witnessed the run-up to the Revolution in Iran, it adds another level of eerie memories.

There are many pieces of evidence that we should all remain “en garde.” Still, best case scenarios are still possible: another Carter-style administration, maybe no major world conflict SOMEHOW. But we do need to remain cautious and ready to spring into protest if freedoms start being curtailed.
The Nazis spent a LOT of manpower and money going from town to town and organizing Aktiens against the Jews. The German soldiers / SS men actually shot babies in the face, killed mothers next to screaming toddlers, tortured people in expensive and inhumanly sick ways. The Final Solution needed a LOT of people to carry out a very detailed and organized systematic plan. That is not going to happen here, so be realistic.

The brainwashing in schools, perhaps? “Professor” Ayres? Young Americans have not only not been taught about the foundation and history of their country, they’ve actually bought into the self-serving European concept that somehow America is to blame for all the trouble in the world. Something very similar happened in England. They lost all concept of and respect for their own culture so they were open to being taken over by another - in their case Islam.
This country elected a muslim as president. I do not think God is all that happy with us right now. There will be a price to pay for this by all of us. What form that will take, no one knows, But we will when it happens.

This is exactly what I am witnessing right now in this country.
I’ve studied the left for over twenty years. I don’t have a red phone to the White House but from what I can tell the left is doing a fantastic job of taking over the country.
And no one believes it can happen here. Everyone seems to be floating along like it’s just another day in America. Waiting for their most trusted politicians to “fix” it. Well, their fixing it alright. They’re playing right into the left’s hands.
I foolishly anticipate a tipping point but it never seems to come — Americans don’t seem to care about their freedom anymore. Apathy, cynicism, fear, denial or cowardice — doesn’t matter which, the result is watching power mongers strip you of your rights, one-by-one, inch-by-inch.
That earns me the label: “extremist”, “alarmist”, stirs-up references to “tin-foil hats” or drudges up condescending comments like: “...be realistic.” nowadays.
The left doesn’t take over a country with promises to kill women and children. They do it by promising a panacea for life’s problems. They do it using the base desires of the ignorant, blind and foolish: “free” healthcare, “free” education, a grand and loving “community”, etc., etc.
Did Hitler START by killing millions of Jews! Did Stalin and Lenin START by promising mass murder via famine, jackboots and war? Did Mao begin with promises of a river a blood?
No, they started with selling concepts lke “HOPE” and “CHANGE” and “COMMUNITY” and “THE COMMON GOOD”, etc. And, no, I’m not saying 0bama is like these people. But he will be useful in further shifting the US towards the left.
You folks are in for a shock, mark my words.
I knew America was over when we elected Clinton. It was just a matter of time before we went all the way.
In the ensuing years, the left, out of power in the Bush years, went on a rampage unheard of, accusing Bush of everything possible, incredible even as it seemd at the time, but with no response from the Republicans. we left Bush hanging in the wind, just trying to get through those years, hoping to put forward someone they’d like. The left will never like a single one of us. Hence, the so-called conservatives writers and other RINOs who have basically abandoned the right in order to be seen as tolerant and free-thinking.
We have all been some part of the problem. Our spiritual leaders have abandoned their duty to lead us in righteousness. Instead we have church services to please our itching ears, make us ‘feel good’ about ourselves, etc. Truth has long been the target of the left and we’ve not bothered to fight the good fight to hold the line. We talk a good line. Now, I think we’ll probably get the opportunity to live what we believe and possible die for it. How many of us will really stand on that day? There’s a good reason why the Scripture says that when Christ returns, will He find faith? The answer is not what most want to hear. The answer is that there will be so few faithful left that it will appear that there is none left.

I don’t think I am a dumb sheep. I said I was concerned. Has anything happened yet that is concrete evidence that the Obama admin will be a living nightmare? No. Just some hints that he is not, so far, “governing from the center.”
But your article was from WND, written by or featuring an ex-Nazi Youth member, comparing life in the United States with life in Europe during the Hitler years. That’s dangerous hyperbole. Bush was not Hitler. Obama is not Hitler. Now, we wait and see what will be. We remember history and refuse to be fooled again, but it is too soon to conclude that we are doomed. I have faith in the American people.
And as for freedoms being curtailed, where were you under Bush? HE started this bailout, the Patriot Act (as far as we know used wisely in his administration, but its authority could be usurped for more nefarious practices in the future), support for illegal aliens even at the expense of our national security, etc.

I really do understand you. I really do see that we COULD BE frogs in a warming pot. But we don’t have to let the pot get beyond a comfortable jacuzzi temp. We are AMERICANS. We will do what we need to do, those of us paying attention. But hopefully all will still be well. Almost half of us did not want Obama. Don’t lose all faith.
Hysteria doesn’t alert people. Calm, rational facts do. Let’s get though this all together, and fight if the temperature rises too much.

I was railing against it, big time. I know that, in this country, whatever power you grant “your team” the other team will wield in 4,8 or 12 years.
If more were like me we would have taken to the streets as the pols looted OUR tax money for their socialistic “bailout”. That was enough for a small revolution in my book. But nothing more than a whimper was heard from the American people after they were beaten down by their “leaders”.
The Patriot Act was a HUGE mistake. Guess who holds the keys to that power house now?

The right, even when it managed to get elected, continued to fund and approve of the big three things that caused it's own demise:
Motor Voter/Early ballot voting
ACORN free wheeling to defraud the registration rolls.
Massive unfettered illegal immigration, which pumped up left wing Democrat membership and causes.
I have never seen a movement so intent on committing suicide. All I can think is it stems from this subconscious guilt, and a need to appease and "negotiate."
Well, you can't negotiate with destructive forces and expect not to be destroyed. The sooner conservatives/Republicans learn that the better.
I fear we have hit critical mass in America, and could be on the verge of wiping out all the goodness and strength we've developed the past 230 years. It's frightening.
