We love Monk.
The one with the little, toddler boy he had to keep for a while, is a sweet story.
And, I liked Sharona better than Natalie. But then it worked anyway.
Sad to see him go.
That was a sweet story. The Halloween trick-or-treat story was also memorable when we first learned so much about his brother and father.
Oh...you’re right. I forgot about that one. I loved the whole show.
I didn’t have to be concerned about stuff I don’t particularly care to see or hear on screen. ;-)
Monk is one of my favorites. NCIS & CSI are also up there at the top of my list of favorites.
Favorite shows are few and far between. I'm on the look-out now for them to escape Obama...
NCIS are civilians. There are not directly under Navy command. http://www.ncis.navy.mil/index.asp
Only in the sense that it helps to know that there are enough others like him that they can make a show about one of them and people understand what it's about and think it's somewhat charming. He was telling me about a scene where Monk spotted two adjacent pots of coffee, regular and and decaf, and then poured one into the other in order to get the levels even. He doesn't do anything like that (although he used to flick light switches on and off in multiples of 5) so he was able to laugh about it.
As far as Monk's fear of germs, obsessive cleanliness, not wanting other people to touch his stuff, etc., that's about the same as Monk, and just seeing the humorous aspects of it doesn't seem to improve the situation. Just watching Monk is not going to take away his dislike of touching or even being around any animals.
My relative thought it was funny that Monk made an entire trip to Mexico without once eating, drinking, or going to the bathroom. But it's entirely believable that if he had to go to Mexico he would do the same.
In the area of food and eating my relative is undoubtedly more obsessive than Monk. This is a painful subject for him as it limits his life in many ways. He doesn't really appreciate humor about his personal situation in this area. But perhaps if the humor was directed towards a fictional character it would seem funny to him.
I hope your relative can make progress in overcoming this problem. I’m sure it’s difficult for him and the entire family.
One of my favorite shows! Sad to see it go. Even though tony shaloub is a left wing wacko!
I like him as Monk and looked around on Google for political info, but I couldn't find anything.
I think that that is their visit to NYC episode.
She is cute. That outfit is horrible!
Thanks for the history lesson, Lucius Cornelius Sulla...
‘NCIS’ Catches Bad Guys, Viewers
By Bill Keveney, USA TODAY
“A light touch, and perhaps the times, are helping a venerable CBS drama defy Nielsen’s rules of gravity.
NCIS (Tuesday, 8 ET/PT) last week drew a series-high 18.8 million viewers in its sixth season, a point at which most shows are slipping.
The military-based crime investigation series is now fall’s No. 2 scripted series.”

One of the cool things about “Monk” is that Ted Levine will no longer be known solely for playing Buffalo Bob in “Silence of the Lambs.”
My favorite episode is the one with Sarah Silverman. Mr. Monk’s Biggest Fan. I’m going to assume she’s a vile liberal. < :P
I think the reason NCIS works is it is the right amount of humor within pretty serious subject.
I love all the characters.....Goth Abby is adorable
