I stumbled across this pic and video (see link below) this morning and thought it was pretty incredible and maybe worth sharing...
Here's the video link...Cloud Surfing
This is way cool.
Love to get some surfer reactions to this new board.
I surfed back in high school but that was in the long board days (my last board was a Gordon & Smith 9'6").

Uhhhhhhhhhh,
a pic
is not necessarily the same thing as a link.
How about a bona fide link?
Sweet!
Doesn’t the link provided work?
OK,
The link finally showed up on my screen. Sorry.
Having trouble . . . FREEPMAILS do not show-up unless I hit refresh or reply.
And often posts are truncated . . . often in mid-word. Hitting refresh several times SOMETIMES corrects it.
Frustrating.
Sorry.
Couldn’t see ANY link on my screen in that thread until I’d refreshed it 4-6 times. Just seemed to be omitted.
Sorry.
Sweet! Many years ago, a group of us did a ski trip to the Colorado River and one of the guys brought an air chair. It was difficult to ride, primarily because of being in a sitting position. Laird Hamilton’s idea seems much more user-friendly. I love when someone combines two sporting elements to make a new product.
For those who are interested, look up “Slopecycle” in Google images. It’s a cross between a snowboard and a BMX bike. I bought one last year and it works great. And no, I’m not affiliated with the company in any way.
As a mountain biker and skier, I would to try it on some steep drops (that is, unless it is a lot harder than it seems)!
I’ve only ridden it on intermediate slopes. It’s pretty comfortable and easy to ride. My older daughter tried it, too, and didn’t have a problem. Maybe I’ll be ready for the steep drops this winter. Or maybe not. Getting older means more time for healing if I eat crap down the mountain. :-)
