We see this every day. The black and white tabby, Oreo, is totally in love with the Golden Retriever. And now there is a new addition: a one year old Rat Terrier. She loves them both. It’s so bizarre.

The golden retreiver and cat the same color look just like a pair I had. The cat (who is now over 20) considered the golden to be her personal cat bed. The golden didn’t care a bit. If the cat got too chilly, she would crawl under the dog’s back leg.
The goldie also sat still while a tufted titmouse combed through her fur to get some for her nest. That bird spent about a week working her over, and returned for years to get dog fur. She even looked for her after the golden died.
