South Park: Season 12 Review (and what did YOU think of Season 12?)

There are really two ways to look at Season 12 of South Park; a somewhat average season of an excellent show, or the beginning of the end. Season 12 isn't bad, it's just not that great. There are a number of misfires and no truly classic episodes. That's a rarity for a series that often has fans calling up friends the next morning to say "Oh my God, did you see South Park?"

only decent episode was the obama mccain one. All the others were horrible.

It was okay. Nothing special. They need to be more conservative like they've been in past seasons. I think they're trying to take the Bill O’Reilly route anymore....... Remember Sexual Harassment Panda? I want those episodes back..... The Rob Reiner smoking show was really good too.

I think first half better than 2nd half. Peruvian flute band 2 parter was lame. Getting high on cat whizz and the Britney episodes were the best IMHO.

Oh, remember Death Camp of Tolerance...? Raunchy, but still a great episode about “diversity training”.

agree, It was "the best of season"....soon to be a classic.

It was okay. Major Boobage was funny, but mostly because of the B storyline of Cartman hiding the cats in his attic. That was the cutest thing.

The McCain/Obama episode was the best of the season, IMO.

I enjoyed the season even though they tended to avoid over the top bombasity. My favorite episodes were Major Boobage, Elementary School Musical, & the Twilight spoof. I know a lot of people were really upset because they have not been “political” or “conservative” enough, but where's no rule that says they have to be. I enjoyed the episodes that spoof movies because they were just plain funny (thou not as funny as when they were spoofing TV shows). I remember in an interview when they decided to stop killing Kenny in every episode. They said they don't want to be known as those guys who always do a certain thing.

I thought the election episode was classic. Maybe not as good as the 04 one but still pretty good. The whole first half of the season was pretty good.

I kinda like Breast cancer episode any time Cartman get his a*** works for me

Also election day episode was pretty good

One distrubing episode was Indiana Jones episode

All and all, I thought it was kind of weak, although not terrible. However, “Eek! A Penis!” is now one of my all time favorite episodes. Something about Cartman with the fake combover and doing the Edward James Olmos routine really did it for me.

Major Boobage was classic! As a GenXer the Heavy Metal reference was very cool. IMHO that episode is at least top 15.

The rest of the season....nothing really sticks out so probably average.

The breast cancer episode was good. But boy, were they right about how sensitive some people get about that issue. Any time I tried to explain some of the jokes to a woman, it was, “breast cancer is not funny!”

The first half was great - the second half was weak. There are enough weird things going on in the world, they could have done better than High School Musical and Twilight.

1st half of season was pretty good...2nd half hit or miss...i have heard Matt and Trey are working on something else...they seemed to not have quite the Matt and Trey touch to them.

The election episode was allot of fun, the rest were kinda lame.
