Those Sigmas are very nice guns. Precise, easy on the hand, easy to strip, easy on the wallet.

Dang, wish you could teach me to shoot! :-)

It's precisely because I am not an experienced marksman like you that I must rely on the testimonials of others. All I've learned is that there is no consensus on the "best". BTW Glock does rock, nothing to the contrary was intended. Fantastic weapons - along with Beretta, H&K, and SIG, each with its own distinct advantages.

Good Lord woman, don't you know those things explode in your hands? Google Kboom!

As for H&K, in the handgun arena, I'd rather have a Ruger revolver. I hate the trigger.

SIG? Well... maybe I'm just snobby.... and my daughter drives a BMW. I'll learn to forgive her.

It doesn't matter what you shoot. Take it to the range and practice until it's your nature. My first piece said J.C.Penneys on it.

Well, I got the HK USP in .40 today (there, I said it). Tricked out with ammo box + a barge load of rounds + extra mags on order. It's a no-nonsense sort of weapon (kind of like their public persona), light yet extremely solid, simple, and even dangerous unloaded if you don't know what you're doing. It's all business. It's used, but in 98% condition judging by the barrel. As soon as CPC permit comes through, it becomes my constant companion. Hey, if it's good enough for the SEALS...

I told the wife not to outlay any expenditures under the tree on my behalf this year. This serves a dual purpose: that and keeping my family alive though home defense.

Congrats. Now take that pup to the range and learn its ins and outs! Put some lead downrange. Practice. Practice. Practice.

H&K is no slouch. You’ve got yourself into some fine machinery, now make it your nature.

My mentor smacked his rookies around for making fun of my brother for carrying a Tarus. The instructor carried a 1911, and his rookies carried Glocks. He let them know, in no uncertain terms, that it doesn’t matter what the brand is, if your opponent knows his weapon, he will outshoot you. (And my brother did outshoot them.)

1. Most accurate at 20 feet.
2. Single shot kills perp.
3. Easy concealed carry in shoulder holster or on hip.
4. Smooth action.
5. Easy load. Reload.
6. Can handle load variations.
7. Price NO object.
Your thoughts?

That #7 changes the game big time...

Sorry for the delay. It’s deer season here! $800 or so for a Kimber Crimson. (Ouch!)
