This picture was taken in June '08.

Yes this is our grandson and foster daughter, now adopted daughter, who we have had since 6 months of age.

She is special needs but is a amazing girl, and hopefully will graduate from High School in June'09 and go on to college. We have adopted 4 others who are grown, one of whom is our grandson's mama. Along with them we have two bio adult children. Ten grandchildren and one on the way.

Black and cold the dawning morn
In silence the tattered heart is torn
In silence too, the soul so bruised at last
That it will not heal, as so oft in times past

Soft silent tears, track cheeks grown pale
Each drop, a separate and so terrible tale
Of real trust lost and hope stilled by wrath
As peace is now an image on another path

Evil is, and evil does, until its rage is run
And then a bitter time to come till done
As man recoils, and rebuilds his world
Once the flags of hate and evil be furled

Stones to tell the story, upon a pale green
Of hearts so vile, seeped in mindless mean
And cruelty we’ll overlook, not see it again
And we will with open eyes, see not their sin

Repeat our history, as if in a sad loop of pain
And so we’ll stand, as others are softly lain
What fools we are to let this be the only way
And sad as well the price the innocent will pay

A Passion For People

Mark Twain said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

This quote appears on a Web site intended to help people discover what they are passionate about so they can live with greater significance.

The apostle Paul’s passion in life was largely driven by concern for the eternal destiny of others. In 2 Corinthians 5, he names three things that fueled his passion. First, he recognized that he was accountable to Christ for his service and wanted to give a good accounting at the judgment seat of Christ (vv.9-10). Second, Paul was driven by Christ’s love and a desire that others would know the love that he had experienced. In verse 14 he wrote, “For the love of Christ compels us.” Finally, he understood that a lost and dying world needs the Savior (v.20).

What are you passionate about? Paul’s passion for people was fueled by the love of Christ—and ours should be as well. Let’s apply Twain’s words of challenge to our efforts in outreach: “Sail away from the safe harbor.” Share the love of Christ with someone today.

~Good Morning Everyone~

Kittens were delivered uneventfully to the vets for
surgery..My adult kitty "talked" to me..wandering
around looking for them.., turned up her nose at the
food I put back in the kitchen, and is ignoring
me..LOL.It is cold out there..hard to believe it will
warm up to 70 today.

How sweet....your adult cat knows things are not right! They are so smart! What time do you pick them up anyway? They will do just fine....better than you are imagining. I know you are anxious to get them back and so am I!!
