Legal discrimination is over, but so many talk about black problems as if legal discrimination still exists.

And it’s taboo to talk about certain issues in the black community. It’s racist to talk about the whole toxic gang culture that has infested our inner cities.

It’s racist to talk about the culture of illegitimacy that has taken root in the black community. About 70% of black babies are born out of wedlock. The black family is in tatters. In 1960, only about 10% of black babies were born out of wedlock. So clearly the baby mama culture has nothing to do with being denied civil rights in the past. The big push of all this baby mama stuff came well after the civil rights movement.

Why are disproportionate numbers of young black men in prison or in trouble with the law? That’s another taboo subject right there.

Why do school districts with large numbers of black students produce some of the worst results for their efforts? Why does Wash, DC, with a huge black student population, which spends more per captita on education than almost every other school district in America, get some of the worst results?

Why do some cities with big black populations, such as Detroit and Newark and Gary, Indiana, which have been governed by black mayors and city councils for years, have some of the worst socio-economic problems of any place in America? If the problems are due to racism, why do these issues persist in places where other black people are in charge????

It could be that with Affirmative Action they think that all the good things in life come from nothing and are handed to them like everything else.

This is a TRUE STORY:

Black Americans are so blinded by their own readiness to jump at the first chance at a “racially toned” anything, they forget that they too are capable of making discriminating remarks and inuendos as layed out by the guidlines of the American Civil Rights Act, and the American’s with Disabilities Act. I was working for the USPS, before I was forced to take medical retirement. One night, because of the inability of management to comprehend the effects of my medicine on my ability to literaly walk and do my job, (after three letters from my neuroligist), I was walking back to my job post; when a black man I had worked with for years thought it would be funny to make the following comment:

“Hey, don’t fall down and have a seizure there on the floor, we’d hate to have to clean up the mess...”

While another co-worker was standing by waving his arms trying to get him to shut-up, he continued his discriminatory statement.

When he was done with his statement, I told him that it would be in his best interest if he never spoke to me again.

Upon the next night’s shift, he approached me and asked me “if I was mad or upset with him”. I told him that what he had said to me was no different than if “I had called him the “n-word”, and if he realized I could have his job taken through a filing through an EEO complaint filing?”

He still didn’t get it...

I further explained that discrimination comes in more forms than just skin color, and that it would do him good to actually read the Civil Rights Act in it’s entirity...

I also told him that I had decided that I would not go to file an EEO complaint, because I felt that I was man enough to just overlook his ignorance.
