For decades, if anyone made a connection between Democrats and communists, they were derided as McCarthyites. It’s O.K. for the Communist Party to make the connection. Is it now O.K. for other people to do so?
Hubert Humphrey is largely credited with driving the Reds out of the Democrat Party. From that point, they were “pink.”
People like Sean Hannity are even afraid to refer to communists as communists. He still only refers to Bill Ayers's Weather Underground as 'domestic terrorists'. Yet Ayers, to this day, openly admits he and the group were/are communist.
