"Court orders have to be followed," Drop me a line when the courts have credibility again and I'll care. In the interim, Erin will be in my prayers.

The judge is holding her in contempt for using the 5th Amendment to the US Constitution?
Her lawyer should have a field day with this if he is competent.

Erin McLean is a former West High School student-teacher who had an affair with 18-year-old student Sean Powell. Her husband, Eric McLean, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for reckless homicide in the March 2007 shooting death of Powell. WTF? 90 days for a homicide?

Why are you praying for her? She was having fun with an 18 year old and cheating on her hubby.

Why are you praying for her? She was having fun with an 18 year old and cheating on her hubby. That wasn't a crime. However, the judge putting her in jail for citing the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution is a travesty. We may not like her fooling around, but what is happening to her, if allowed to stand, could have dire consequences to the country.

She was not held in contempt for using the 5th Amendment.
She bungled her only chance to talk the judge out of throwing her in jail for contempt by invoking the 5th Amendment.

In many circles, shooting the guy who’s doing your wife is considered justifiable.

Why are you praying for her? She was having fun with an 18 year old and cheating on her hubby. And then after her 18 year old boyfriend was killed by her husband she ran off and had an affair with another teenage boy. I'm guessing you made your post as one who hasn't the slightest idea what's going on in this story; otherwise, you would be praying for the kids and their father rather than this slut.

Guilty but crazy. She may look alright, but every guy she’s ever been with has gotten his name in the paper in an unflattering manner. Her boyfriend was shot, and her husband went to jail for killing him. Later she was fired from another teaching job for having another underage boyfriend.

Initial verdict: Not Guilty. Google up some images of her and you will quickly change your verdict.

It is maintained that it was an accident. The judge and jury were understandably sympathetic.

Shouldn’t you shot your wife instead of the guy? He may not know she is married.

Shouldnt you shot your wife instead of the guy? He may not know she is married. She was doing the guy repeatedly in the marital home. The kid absolutely new she was married. The husband told the kid to stay away and the kid sat out front of the house in his car and basically told the husband to go F himself, which then precipitated the demise of said kid. He had it coming.

Swann faulted McLean for repeatedly invoking her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination at today's hearing. "Her silence does not help," Swann said. 5th Amendment exercise now equals Contempt of Court? If she has a decent lawyer she is going to OWN that town.
