Anybody know if its still possible to get a donation back from the McCain campaign? I made a $200 donation on Oct. 30th and want a refund.
The reasons are obvious!
If you know who I should contact to make this happen let me know. If you think its impossible let me know. Or if there is another thread on this, let me know that too. If you think I was crazy to make this donation in the first place, I would concur with your assessment!
You weren’t crazy, and I doubt very much you can get it back.
I got a refund from the Obama campaign for $5.00.
Probably because I submitted it under the name Osama bin Laden.
Let us all know, b/c I want my $50 back too.
I sent an email asking for that after McCain refused to stand up for Palin against the lies/smears.
Never got an answer back.

I’ve been waiting years for a callback about one of those $50 per hour lettuce picking jobs.
I gave 25 bucks in September after Sarah was announced. Never gave to a campaign before, this was my first time because I was SO inspired by Sarah. McCain NEVER fought for us, he said for us to fight for him, he did not fight for us at all, did not fight for his own running mate so yeah, I’d like a refund so that I can triple it in 2012 when Sarah runs for President
I don’t see how you made a $200 donation on Oct. 30th. McCain took public financing and was prohibited from accepting donations after Sept. 1. If you made it and he took you should be able to get it back. If you donated to the RNC I doubt it.
I donated $200 also and feel the same way you do. But it ain’t gonna happen, you (we)knew he was a snake before we brought him in and hoped that this one time he would not bite us......oh well. Mac has no integrity whatsoever, but that is his problem. I hope he is voted out of the senate so we can all forget the weasel.

I believe the process is the same as applying for a refund for your failed lottery ticket.

And, unless you wrote in Sarah Palin on your ballot, you probably also voted for Juan McCain.

I wrote to her twice before I got a response. She sent me a message that she was working on getting me my refund . That was in mid November. Since then I have not heard anything, so I wrote again about a week ago and still as of today no response. I didn’t try Broghamer yet, but I will.
Maybe that Sinclair guy was telling the truth.
On a similar note- where can I make contributions to PALIN 2012 campaign?
If there is no organization set up yet for that, I will start one- who’s with me?

Apparently many were. McCain wasn’t the first or best choice of many. (read back on just this forum)

Too brusque, don’t think so. I apologize to those who do. However, we should act the same way that we want those that we want to elect to act. Get tough when you have to.

However, why bother to donate, if afterwards, you want a refund should your candidate lose?
The defense fund was able to take money all the way to the end... I donated.
Personally, his campaign makes me want to sue to malpractice.
As for McCain and strawberries: watch the movie The Caine Mutiny. The similarity between Captain Queeg and John McCain is...uncanny.
