Update from TMZ:

There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease.

UPDATE: 4:00 PM ET — Travolta’s attorney Michael Ossi says Jett suffered a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene.

Jett was autistic although the Travoltas revoked the idea because of Scientology teachings. He seemed like a loved and well taken care of child though....

Prayers and sympathies for the Travoltas....

Met Travolta in Cabo several years ago. I was never a fan but the ex-wife was. He sat by the pool and chatted with us both for about 45 minutes as he waited for his massage. I came away terribly impressed by him. He was friendly and casual as if we had been friends for years. Later that night ,recognizing us in the restaurant, he brought over his sister to say hello and to thank my wife for giving him my only Arturo Fuente Opus X. Quite a charming man.

My prayers go out to him, his wife and his family.

Ah, man. I hate Travolta’s politics, but this is a bummer. Losing a teen-aged son is horrific, but it must be even worse when The Whole World is Watching. The upside is that The Whole World is also Praying, at least the whole right world. My prayers go to the Travoltas that God will give them strength and comfort.

The sad thing is that in addition to the loss itself, they will now have to endure the gossip rags with screaming headlines like “Son dies for lack of medical treatment”, or “Parents decide not to aid disabled son during seizure” and other equally libelous garbage. No matter how a child dies, parents will blame themselves in one way or another and they don’t need gossip adding to their torment.

He said the one where he lost his children.

At the risk of hijacking the thread, Opus X was the single most disappointing cigar I have ever had.

Maybe I’m just not sophisticated enough for Opus X...or maybe more people rave about them because Rush does?

And IMO cubans in general are not worth the money.
