Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 Atlanta Falcons 23 at Arizona Cardinals 24 A year ago, Atlanta was the joke of the league. As for Arizona, it had gone 33 years without winning a division title. Falcons RB Michael Turner will test a Cardinals defense that held the Seahawks to 87 rushing yards on 28 carries. The Cards struggle to run the ball, James averaged just 3.9 yards per carry and was benched midway through the season. His replacement Tim Hightower didnt fare any better, gaining only 2.8 YPC. Falcons QB Matt Ryan never looked like a rookie in throwing for 3,440 yards with a 16/11 TD-INT ratio. Michael Turner proved to be the NFLs best off-season acquisition, rushing for 1,699 yards. That was good for second-best in the NFL behind only Adrian Peterson. Turner averaged 4.5 YPC and scored 17 touchdowns. Arizona lost seven of its 10 games against foes not from the NFC West. The Falcons have lost five of their six all-time games played at Arizona. We'll take the Cardinals in a upset.

Most of the Cardinals wins are over bad teams. As long as the Falcons DBs can keep Old Man Warner in check, the Dirty Birds should breeze through this game.
Dirty Birds breeze through with a loss...
