Whew!

Nothing personal against San Diego but any team that had to win its last game to be "divisional" champ and STILL doesn't have a winning record, shouldn't be in the playoffs.

Heh..I'll watch it anyway.

One of these days a 7-9 team is going to make the playoffs.

Do note that sometimes these weak records are enought o get a team to the Super Bowl. The 1979 Rams were 9-7 in a pitiful division, and knocked off the Cowboys and Bucs and were leading the Steelers for three quarters in the Super Bowl with their backup QB (Vince Ferragamo). They didn’t win, but no one pretended they didn’t belong there.

Vince Ferragamo. A blast from the past.

Remember Todd Christensen? A bunch of us had drinks with him and Lyle Alzado once at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Van Nuys.

I agree! But it matches today’s American mindset. I’m surprised the NFL even keeps scores.

I wonder whatever happened to Todd Christensen? I enjoyed his color commentary doing college football. Great football player.

The only alternative is to cut the number of divisions down and that's simply isn't going to work as you have 32 teams neatly divided into 4-team divisions by geographical area.

Rules are rules. You win the division, you should host a playoff game. Period.

Here we go, almost!!

FWIW, Atlanta has gone from a 3 point favorite to a ONE point UNDERDOG, according to those in the know.

Also the Colts/Chargers which has basically installed the Colts a slight favorite, is now a pick ‘em game.

I am making a bold prediction.

The Super Bowl will be .... The Vikings vs. The Titans.

Unfortunately for the long suffering Viking Fans (mid seventies being their last SB appearance, and never a win), the Titans will be victorious.

I tell ya, big, and my Jessicabot here agrees... our teams bad seasons do not have to come up short!

I've decided how... we two can enjoy this Wildcard Weekend!

I think it is simple mind over matter... We simply transpose in our minds the following:

Today, your Packers take on the Zonedouta Cards at NBC 4:30pm EST!

Sunday's game on CBS at 1pm EST will be your beloved Pats battling those Coltless Baltimore Blackbirds!

Then Sunday afternoon my Cowboys will lineup against wall's Viqueens!

Gadzooks, am I excited! I'm all set for the 4:30 game... Want a beer, big? I think we are going to need lots of them!

Sounds like fun, Bendy... Can I wear my Cheese-bra and Long dark Hair?

Why not, Jess Baby... you can do anything you want.

Tony, I'll be out with Bendy... and big this evening.

I sure hope big's Packers kick... those big redbirds' arse!

We simply... call the games ourselves and don't listen to those lugnuts on the tube.

I can already see Ware getting ten sacks... and Adrian Peterson being stopped for minus 30 yards on 31 carries!

Right on, Bender! We Packer Fans... don't have to suck this year!

I think this is going to be special... Isn't it special?

What we have here... is excellent made up communication!

It has always been my dream... to be the Packer's 12 Man!

I'd rather watch the Packers... than have sex with Brad Pitt or big.

You keep away from big... he's mine, all mine!

Joey, I killed that low-down lyin' Yankee... because he would not mentall see the Packers playing the Cards this afternoon. Now, you go fly on to the game with Joe and Marian, I'll see you there.

I only wish... Fearless Leader had thought this up!

I cannot understand why no... one is looking at my new cheesehat!

Joey, did you ever eat cheese... in a Turkish Bath?

Smells like... a plan for mental victory to me, Bendy!

Then let the game... begin!

I remember him being a Raider. Both he and of course Alzado (RIP) were very good football players. Both were pro-bowlers and with Super Bowl rings.

Of course, being a Rams fan, I had no use for either of them. I did have respect for Lester Hayes. Any player who forces a rules change all by himself deserves respect. (Deacon Jones and Greg Pruitt belong in that category as well).

I've adopted the Chargers as my substitute team since my first team has no guts and cares more about keeping it real, personal stats, and sports mktg than winning. I think ya gotta root for a guy like Norv Turner--one of the truly good guys in the league and see him at last succeed as a HC. And the Chargers have shown some heart the last few games and that's always refreshing, too.

Now, they shirley have their hands full today with Manning and Co., but I think they're ready to finally take the next step in the postseason...sooo, GO Chargers!

Not necessarily for every division...Miami is in w/ 3 Northeastern teams, and Dallas with 3 mid-atlantic teams(to preserve traditions).

Good stuff on Belichik for sure!!.

To me though, John Fox makes the most out of his players, turning them into classic overachievers.

But after the job Bill did with the Pats this year, it’s hard to argue the point.

Role reversal early on, Arizona running well. Falcons not.
