Explain to me again how....

Rules mean things. I suppose you would prefer a BCS system?

Yes, we should let sports journalists vote on who should go to the playoffs...or just let the networks decide!

That’s as far as they are gonna get though. That’s my prediction.

Go colts. I can’t stand Phillip Rivers.

I agree, however, they have a better chance against the Cats than the Giants.. I also gotta give Coach Ken for doing a good job down in the desert...

I'm picking the Chargers in this game. It should be a good one.

I live smack in the middle of the Eagles/Steelers. Sure would be great to see them in the SB.

It just seemed like the Cardinals wanted that game more.

Leinart? Are Kurt Warner? Leinart has a what six or seven year contract. Warner’s is over after the last season game. Don’t know what they’re gonna come up with since he’s playing in the play offs.

Warner’s leadership is the cause of the success.

Love those black bra’s!!

Been burning DVD’s and watching the game.

The old gunslinger came thru, with a little running by James and Hightower.

The defense showed up, too.

It did look like Arizona wanted it more. Starting the game with a successful run game sure helped. It allowed Kurt to let loose with the big plays.

2nd quarter was all Atlanta, all the time. 2 great long drives where Matty ice looked like the vet out there. And for some reason. Arizona let Edge stand on the sidelines holding his helmet.

Atlanta needed to start the 3rd quarter just like they finished the 2nd. Instead the worst possible thing happened and there went the momentum. Then the stupid coverage on 3rd&16 seals it.

Matt Ryan will be back in the playoffs and Roddy White is a star in this league.

He’s needs to get a decent contract and be a starter. Leinart’s 100 mil to sit on the bench. Whatever. The Cardinals aren’t known for being good owners

True... I was reading a book about George Halas, and from what I have read he did not like the people that was about to buy the Cards so he “choose” the proper owners and the rest you can say is history..

They are in a lose, lose situation with Leinhart.

You resign Warner. who deserves it, and Matt is on the bench for another year. Trade Matt, and you hedge your bets on a 38 year old staying healthy.

2 huge catches by Antonio Gates and LT finishes it off!!

We are tied at 7!!!

Absolutely he deserves it. Hell. you could easily argue that Warner could have been MVP, especially if you discount those games in weeks 14-16.

it does create the situation I described above though.

It will be interesting to see where Matt Cassel ends up though.....

Here is a terrific trivia question you can use.

Who replaced Babe Ruth in right field when he retired?

Answer: George Halas.

Touchdown Darren Sproles!!!!

I guess having LT way under 100% isn’t a big deal now is it??

Colts fumble the kickoff, ref calls down by contact, but that is not the right call.
It will be SD’s ball here!!

Yeah.

Should we start to worry? Sometimes a part of me thinks that Tony enjoys a little tension, a bit of 'come from behind' challange as it were. ( No finer man around than Tony D. - what a gracious man!)

Oh, I am not dogging Ryan, just stating the obvious. As to Romo I hope he is gone in a couple of years with a Matt Ryan type in his place. I don’t want my Boys going through the yo-yoing effect that Farve put the Packers through.

Favre absolutely needs to retire. Hall of Famer for sure but his best has come and gone.
Browns should make a play for Shanahan, Mangini is nowhere near his talent and experience.

Nothing personal against San Diego but any team that had to win its last game to be "divisional" champ and STILL doesn't have a winning record, shouldn't be in the playoffs.

The only alternative is to cut the number of divisions down and that's simply isn't going to work as you have 32 teams neatly divided into 4-team divisions by geographical area.

Rules are rules. You win the division, you should host a playoff game. Period.

Well, not quite period.

I would submit that if a division is so pathetic that an 8-8 team wins, then their position defaults to the 3rd best wild card team.

But, it's all moot. It certainly won't happen and watch, San Diego will probably win the super bowl ;-)

Update—for any Hockey Fans...
Canada defeats Russia in the shootout and advances to the Gold Medal game .
I switched over to the NHL network at halftime and caught the end of the game.
Pretty wild game with Canada scoring to tie it up with 5 seconds left to go ......(like anyone cares, LOL)

Back to the NFL game........
Colts dodge a bullet with that fumble and touchback!
