Two sushi bar owners fork over $104,700 for a 282-pound bluefin tuna at a Tokyo auction. That breaks down to $370 per pound, many times higher than the average of $25 per pound. Why so pricey? "It was the best tuna of the day, but the price shot up because of the shortage of domestic bluefin," which is attributed to bad weather, an official says.

That proves it. Sushi is highly addictive and causes severe brain damage that compels sushi junkies to do anything for a raw fish fix. Time to put Bluefin on the schedule of controlled substances (alongside those toads that people lick).

Domo Arigato!

That's some article.

Four farms started out selling about 800 fish, but in 2009, the cooperative plans to ship 4,000 fish and double that number in 2010.

Thats 5 x from inception and a projected doubling in 2010.

Then they start talking about the thousands of tons shipped anually the farming is only a small percentage.

Wow!

In that case, I’m selling my delicious thighs and buttocks. They are fresh, and if I do say so, extremely well shapoed!
