Not over-rated, but bowl let downs happen frequently to teams that almost get to the National Championship. That and Ole’ Miss is much better than it’s record.

USC beats Ohio
Penn St beats Ohio
USC beats Penn St
Texas beats Ohio

How does that make Texas Number One in the country?

Texas’ team speed was barely better than Ohio State, and we all know of the great team speed of USC.

After this game, there is no doubt that USC is the best team. Even more so if OU beats Florida.

Buckeyes exceeded expectations in this game. Great last drive by Texas.

Perfect summary.

Worst Texas effort of the season, and I saw many of them. Mack Brown would be lucky to out-coach my grandmother, and she's deceased. If he had to coach a team with no more than pretty decent athletes, he'd have to get lucky to go .500 in any season.

Tough loss for OSU.

I have been hurt so many times that I think I may find it very hard to care after tonight. I went into the game expecting the Buckeyes to get blown out, and then I made the mistake of opening my heart and allowing myself to hope...

Quan Cosby, top 10 draft pick in April. McCoy was damn lucky tonight.

You’re high! Go to bed now. If you’re lucky, you’ll have Pete Carroll in your dreams!

Boooo! Now I got to buy some Longhorn a flippin Cosmo. It's embarrassing. Waitresses think it's for a chick, until this big@ss hippie shows up.

Good thing he ain't from Oklahoma, they might get the wrong idea. :)

I was glad to see them win after the bad pass interference call that kept an OS drive alive.

You misunderstand. To a Texas fan, they ARE Number One until someone beats them in a championship game. Their loss to Texas Tech this season doesn't count in their minds, because, 1) the game was played in Lubbock, 2) Tech won with :01 second left in the game, and 3) after all, it's just Texas Tech and it was a fluke.

So, according to their logic, they are Number One.

They call it tradition. It's really just delusion.

They shoulda hired Terry Porter if they wanted to steal another bowl game.

That makes 3 consecutive bowl losses for the Buckeyes: UTX, LSU, and UF beat em the last 3 years

Penn State should rank simply #1 for their fabulous, conservative Republican coach Joe Paterno who at 80, out hustles and out coaches men half his age, over and over and over.

Plus Penn State got robbed ? of an undefeated and likely national championship several years ago (one loss) by the worst ref call in history, when the refs gave ? Iowa > an unearned TD on the final play of the game.... when every camera on the field showed it clearly a mistake... and not even close.

If not mistaken, that was when college began the ‘review’ rule.

In fact, I think such a scenario happened twice... both times causing Penn State to lose its undefeated record.

Paterno deserves a Civilian Congressional medal of honor.

Every
