Its official: Marian Robinson, the 71-year-old mother-in-law of President-elect Barack Obama, will be moving into the White House, transition officials said on Friday.
In fact, Mrs. Robinson is already in town, helping to smooth the familys personal transition as Mr. Obama, his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters prepare for new lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Thanks for the facts. Should calm everyone down.
Has ahnty been deported yet, or will she become a green card employee, maidin’ for MIL?
Wrong on Jenna Welch. She lives in Midland, she visits the WH. That is not her residence.
“Im waiting for them to launch mother-in-law.gov”
I am waiting for a sign that says Office of the Mother-in-Law of the President.
Michelle Obama has already made moves to get a salary as First Lady.
Cleveland's sister (before his marriage)
And the Nannystate will get its own two Senators.
Oops! That should be Eisenhower’s mother-in-law.
What did Hillary’s mother make of Bill’s late night pizza eatin’ intern?
Hillary (and probably her mother),knew that Bill was told by Hillary, that the store was closed....go schtup an intern.....
“JUST DON’T GET CAUGHT!!!”
Oh can I say it....oh all right I will....
“Oh, we’re movin on up...to the east wing...to that big deluxe apartment in the sky...
movin on up...to the east wing...finally got a piece of the pie”
I don’t have a problem with this. The White House is home to the president and his family. A mother-in-law seems a close enough relative to be included. (If it were a bunch of third-cousins, that would be different.) I’m not a presidential scholar so I can’t name examples off the top of my head, but I know there have been other presidents who had relatives other than wife and children living in the White House.
Next we will hear that that Aunt of his, the illegal alien we heard about before the election (who has suddenly been out of the news) will be moving in also. Then the rest of the Obama family (from Kenya and all over) will come dwindling in and be “visiting” on long-term status. Just wait! And the taxpayers will be paying for all their upkeep and meals. Obama might have to get used to eating turnip greens for dinner instead of his arugula!
Of course the First Mother in Law will need a paycheck, too.
“Back him all ya want, this is wrong !”
Yeah, you’re right. I’ve decided I’d rather they use tax money to pay a stranger. That’s the real, conservative, family-friendly way to do it.

Huh? Dwindling in?
“Thanks for the facts. Should calm everyone down.”
Do you really think facts will get in the way of a good tinfoil session?
It’t just my rant based on my observations while assigned to USSS TSD as a Explosive Ordnance Disposal Tech supporting missions from President Ford to President Clinton. If you think for one minute that a 71 year old woman is gonna chase and manage those two daughters all over DC, school events etc ya have to reconsider her real reason for being a full time resident at the WH. She won’t be nothing but granny aka White House Squatter bitchin because Oprah channel is out and her sandwich was cold from the kitchen !
....Those teens will have USSS PSD anyway, 24/7. Granny is one extra full time resident versus a visitor like “almost” all other POTUS extended family members were in recent years.
Stay safe ,sorry if I offended it was not my intent, hope yer well, sorry to be argumentative, just my opinion.
