It’t just my rant based on my observations while assigned to USSS TSD as a Explosive Ordnance Disposal Tech supporting missions from President Ford to President Clinton. If you think for one minute that a 71 year old woman is gonna chase and manage those two daughters all over DC, school events etc ya have to reconsider her real reason for being a full time resident at the WH. She won’t be nothing but granny aka White House Squatter bitchin because Oprah channel is out and her sandwich was cold from the kitchen !
....Those teens will have USSS PSD anyway, 24/7. Granny is one extra full time resident versus a visitor like “almost” all other POTUS extended family members were in recent years.

The Obama girls aren't teens. They're in 2nd and 5th grade. The truth is that the Pres. and First Lady attend many official events both together and separately. Rather than get babysitters or a nanny, they decided it was best, at least for a while, to provide some continuity to their young daughters during this huge transition in their lives by having grandma close by to watch them.
I'd love to know why people find this so objectionable. The "Sanford & Son" references, HUD references, "Jeffersons" lyrics, et al are giving me some inkling. It's not a pretty sight here these days.

That remains to be seen, I’d say. She says she doesn’t know how long she’ll stay and she still has a home in Chicago. And I seriously doubt she’s hurting for cash.
