The other day the guys from BaconToday.com contacted me in search for some barbecue bacon recipes. Of course I have plenty of great uses for bacon in a barbecue pit, but the longer I thought about it, the more I wanted to step it up a notch and clog a few arteries for those guys. Behold, BACON EXPLOSION!!! Heres what youll need
2 pounds thick cut bacon
2 pounds Italian sausage
1 jar of your favorite barbeque sauce
1 jar of your favorite barbeque rub

Seeing that this is my thread, and I proposd the major cookout item, and am a former Dallas and Austin Freeper, perhaps I can wangle an invite out of this.
I picked Oct so the weather would be fine.

The website is AFU but the food is good and its 10 mi from the shoot.
Any diehards wish to party into the night at the river bottom and BBQ will have to drag grills and stuff down there for the following day.
It can be done, but I would suggest we let the cotton gin folks serve us and we can do simple burgers and such late at night and in the AM

I wish you wouldn’t hold it in ... LOL! I’m starting to hate that damn goat just on general principle.
