2008 NFL DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF WEEKEND LIVE THREAD
January 10th - 4:30PM ET
January 10th - 8:15PM ET
January 11th - 1:00PM ET
January 11th - 4:45PM ET
Well that's a game that I think has been overlooked. What about you?

The "in" pick is Balt. over Tenn, but I think the Titans will win comfortably.
Looking forward to the Giants-Eagles.
Are you gonna post your own predictions or what?
When do the Packers, Cowboys and Patriots play?
Last I saw Carolina was a 9.5 point favorite over Arizona. It should be higher.
GO RAIDERS!!!
The home teams won’t sweep this weekend...that’s the only prediction I’ll make.
I agree. I think every game other than that one will be a great game, and Carolina is just going to run it down the Cardinals’ throats.
I’m hoping the Titans win today. I detest Ray Lewis, who I believe is a thug and a psychopath.
It’s too bad that’s the prime time game tonight. I’m sure Fox would have prefered the PHI-NYG game instead.
I’m kind of pulling for Tennessee just because I really like Jeff Fischer.
Tomorrow I’m hoping the Eagles win. I like McNabb. He seems like a nice guy who loves his mother. :)
Works for me. :)
The Giants need to remember not to use a LB to cover Westbrook.
the Cards won’t be layin down regardless the majority opinion
..these two already played major league smash mouth this season
.. the real game factor will be the weather restricting pass routes on both sides
...
looks like the worst of the storm will be over by game time in NY & PITT. anyone have the energy to give us weather for the 4 games?
Bears-Giants ‘85...frigid weather...Jint’s punter wiffs on the ball when the wind blows mid punt kick leg swing...
This weekends’ games may be the best four all season.
Go CUBS!!!!!!
Titans, Cards, Giants, Chargers will be the winners this weekend (my prediction, FWIW). What’s yours Perdogg, out of curiosity?
Manning is a nice guy too and I’m sure he loves his mother. Now tell us the real reason you want the Eagles to win.
Rarely watch late games, unless it's the Broncos, and even then it's a chore. Many of these games get stretched out beyond 3.5 hours ... how can a game with 3 minutes left on the clock take 12 to 15 minutes to complete? Happens all the time.
Agree with you about Ray Lewis; however, if Ravens win today and SD wins tomorrow, have tickets to see the AFC Championship in SD next Sunday!!
the Packers, Cowboys and Patriots play Why...
oh why?
Do you have to keep...
pouring salt into that wound!
Mourning won't be over...
until training camp begins.
Well, if it is any comfort...
once more, the Berlin Valkyries lost to Adolf's boys--
And my guys? Did...
they beat the spread this time?
GMTA. That’s the same thing I told my husband last weekend. I want the Ravens to lose because of Lewis. Of course, they didn’t lose, so I’m trusting the Titans to take them out of the running.

"Rancho Penasquitos...SHOW ME YOUR LIGHTNING BOLT!!!"
GO CHARGERS!
Perdogg, we need updated weather. that link is 6 days old. The snow on the east coast is expected to end Sun a.m.
"Reaction"!!
That really is the real reason. :)
Ravens, Panthers, Steelers, Eagles
I usually support the losing team, so your chances are excellent!
my donkeys are not doing very well.
they need a new coach.
I said the same thing to my husband. :)
Help me out someone. What exactly is a Titan? Anyways lets look at the Cardinals-Panthers game. The cardinal can soar and fly nicely. However let’s face it the cardinal is a somewhat unattractive bird plus the word cardinal has been adopted by a religion that excludes gays and women. The panther is a adorable animal. Who could not love a panther (as long as your not in Pittsburgh). SO I say you have to tae the Panthers over the Cardinals in tonights game. IMHO.
Today is the 27 year anniversary of the Ice Bowl or Frozen Bowl between the San Diego Chargers and the Cincinnati Bengals. That game was played in a 59 below zero wind chill. And of course later that day was the Montana to Clark pass to beat the Cowboys in the 1981(2) NFC Championship game.
I remember that game well. It’s called the “Freezer Bowl,” and the Chargers got beat easily, 27 - 7. Can you imagine sitting in the stands in -59 degree weather?
I went to a Browns-Bengals game in Cleveland in 1990 and the wind chill was 30 below. They sometimes show that 1981 AFC Championship game on the NFL network. It was cold yet it was a sunny day. I remember at the time I was a student at Ohio St and I walked (I didn’t have a car) almost 3 miles to go to church. The morning was a rough walk to church. LOL
Gooooooooooooo Titans!!!!!!!!!!!
(It will be really cold and damp for that game this afternoon...brrrrr.)
Looks like it is once again possible for all Pennsylvania Super Bowl. It would only be fitting though since we produce the best quarterbacks the league has ever seen.
Titan: One that is extraordinarily large and powerful.
(from Thesaurus.com) ;-)
one forgotten game is the NFC divisional game in San Francisco when Roger Staubach led the Cowboys to two TD’s in the last two minutes of the game..one reason it is probably forgotten is that the Cowboys got whipped next week in Washington in the NFC title game..but it was quite a comeback..
Good job mainepatsfan!!!
I can tell you I was at that game in ‘87, sitting in the endzone opposite the dawg pound in old Municipal Stadium.
Of course everyone remembers how the game ended, but here’s some other tidbits to consider.......
The game should have never gone into overtime to begin with. We know Mark Mosley won the game with a FG, but in regulation time Mosley missed not 1, but 2 very short FG’s, the first one a 30 yarder and the second only slightly longer.
Mosley kicked a sort FG to send the game to OT. What set it up 2 plays earlier. with about a minute to go was a long completion from Bernie Kosar to Webster Slaughter inside the Jets 5. The Browns players then proceeded to celebrate burning 30 seconds of time, and forcing a incomplete pass on 1st down. Since the Browns had used all their timeouts on defense, Mosley had to kick the FG.
Mosley’s 2nd FG miss was in the 1st OT. And finally after watching Kosar throw for 487 yards, he kicked the game winning FG to end it!!!
Weekend predictions.........
RAVENS 20 TITANS 13
CARDINALS 24 PANTHERS 28
IGGLES 23 GIANTS 16
CHARGERS 13 STILLERS 24
Well, wearing the RED and where I’m from, my neck is already RED!!!
did you have to remind us northerners?
Remember the Eagles/Bears fog bowl in 1988? Was that a wildcard game or divisional? I forget.....
