This guy was hungry!!!

A Fish Story

A guy who lives at Lake Conroe (50 miles north of Houston ) saw a ball bouncing around kind of strange in the lake and went to investigate.

It turned out to be a flathead catfish who had obviously tried to swallow a basketball which became stuck in its mouth!

The fish was totally exhausted from trying to dive, but unable to because the ball would always bring him back up to the surface. The guy tried numerous times to get the ball out, but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the ball in order to deflate it and release the hungry catfish.

You probably wouldn't have believed this, if you hadn't seen the following pictures...

Since my dad called me 'Catfish' since I was an infant, I think I'd have remembered seeing this email (thought I'd seen every bit of spam email since '96!)

Hubby is saying he'd have taken fish and all, lol.

Why heck, he's no bigger than the ones we ate in San Antonio at Casa de Froufrou. Certainly not as big as this one

That's eastforker holding the fish's tail, BTW.

Lest you think that a camera trick, which it is to some degree, since the fish is closer to the camera than the fisherman, here's another shot.

Checked it out with snopes.com and the photos are true but the story isn’t. Seems this happened 5-28-04 at Sandalwood Lake, Kansas.

Well it was a fish story I got by email. LOL I saw the pics and they did look authentic. Most people don’t know that catfish that size will eat ducks, nutrea and small turtles and fish in the 2-4 pound range.

OMG! What a picture! Glad they were able to help him.

It reminds me of a strange sight we saw on the side of the road. When we stopped to investigate we found a cat with his head stuck inside a glass jar. We had to break the jar with a rock to release the cat.
