That would make a great South Park episode.

The iconography was similar too:

No, I didn’t like it. Thinking about that movie makes me shudder.

Well, let’s be honest. If I had a crush on anybody in that flick it was Lori Singer, not Kevin. As a fraternity alum, I’ve got to say my favorite Kevin Bacon film moments involve the words “Thank you, sir! May I have another?!” and “REMAIN CALM! ALL IS WELL!”

They’d need to include an awesome montage with an inspirational pop rock song behind it.

This gives me the same response as when they remade The Poseiden Adventure - why?

Well, Fox is a tabloid. Always was, for that matter.

true - and I'm not complaining about some of the reporters! THAT part they get!

We all did it? I didn’t know there WAS a “Footloose” (1 word) dance! I don’t remember anyone talking about being able to “do the Footloose”!

Anyway, why re-make? Oh well.

Maybe we could make a movie like “Head Loose” or something, where we can bash liberals for taking any fun out of life - making kids wear helmets & shin guards and gauntlets on bikes, no riding in truck beds, seat belts, facing backwards, etc. Show the paranoid safety NAZIs in uptight garb or something.

Such a kid would truly be a REBEL in this day. Oh, the shocking scofflaw!

Too fat and too egregiously profane.

The greatest George Washington was Barry Bostwick. Yup, that “Horror Show” nonsense.

There are legally operating dance clubs. But you need a caberet permit.

And initially it was used to shut down jazz clubs (at least among certain neighborhoods).

Even today on the West coast, there can be prohibitions on rap or punk music being permitted in a neighborhood bar.

Is this the guy with the plastered hair front from “Karate Kid”, or Spader?

At one time I thought Keven Bacon, Marc Singer, MacGyver and even possibly Lex Luger were all the same person.

What a bad idea. Has it really been that long ago? I graduated from high school in 1984.
