"Digital what?", says I.
"I don't know. DVD?"
The Upheaval is required because technology has changed. Every technological advantage requires upheaval.
Please tell me how old you are so I can know to kill myself before then so I don't become such a grumpy curmudgeon.
There is very little enhancement to anyone’s life from HDTV. And when people start to look at what they used to receive for free, or used to receive, period, they’re going to be very angry. Another utility type bill for cable or satellite, or even the expense of a converter box, particularly without a coupon, is the last thing people need right now.
Sorry, I can't get behind that. If you can't pull together the cash to get a converter, you don't need to be watching TV, you need to be finding a way to generate something of value in the economy.
I won’t watch any more TV until somebody buys me seven or eight free converters to make up for the $300.00 I paid for one several years ago that stopped working. I found I didn’t need HDTV. That’s my story, and I think you can understand how and why I feel the way I do.
