No one was faster than the Waco Kid
I think the "Waco Kid" is going to have something to say about that!
That’s insane. He’s a pompous ass, but he’s quick.
Was that video from the late 70’s or the early 80’s?
I don’t know. I wonder if he’s still alive and fast on the draw.
Damnn, that dude was fast. Little bit cocky too but whose gonna say anything to him about that? I think if you had the drop on him already you still wouldn’t be fast enough to shoot him first.
I think this vid is pretty old. I think I saw this guy about ten years ago...maybe 15...and he was in his 50s at that time. He looks not quite 40 in that vid.
If it’s the same guy(and it looks like it) when I saw him, the guy was saying he probably would not be physically capable of doing this for much longer and was making tours accross the continent before he loses the ability.
HE WAS INSANELY FAST! I remember reading old paperback westerns in my early teens and preteens and thinking “yeah right” when they mentioned someone shooting so fast you would only hear one shot when two or more shots were fired. Well, this guy did it easily.
It seems like he did another trick where he held his hand out palm down with a ping pong ball on it. Then he could jerk his hand out from under the ping pong ball, pull gun, fire gun, and ping pong ball dissapeared before it even moved a fraction of an inch.
Did you notice the tape and stuff on the side of his belly to protect from powder burns?
I think if 3 guys had their guns drawn, cocked, and aimed straight at him...he’d still win even if his gun was holstered and was caught totally unaware.
Yep he’s alive and still doing trick shots on shooting usa on direct TV chan 606........
Here’s a quick lesson, if ya wanna start practicing yourself.
3 to 1 would at least be a halfways fair fight with this guy. I think 7 to 1 would be the only way to be truly safe.
Damn that guy's fast, and can hit. Well, with blanks that don't kick as much as a normal round. I wonder how well he'd be on target for the second shot if the first really kicked? Thing is, I don't want to find out the hard way! ;-)
Wanna see me draw my guns? Wanna see it again?
I especially liked how he didn’t wait for the interviewer to finish talking. That was funny.
This waco kid?
I have Directv. Thanks for the tip.
Can a trigger even move that fast?
Wednesday nights is American Rifleman, Shooting USA, Cowboys SASS shooters,Guns and Ammo TV, Self Defense TV, etc etc .....about 4 hours of guns and fun on channel 606 ....enjoy !!
His name is “Jim”, but most people call him...”Jim.”
Bill Jordan ALREADY established that! You could not fire a COCKED handgun already pointing at him faster than he could draw and fire! He proved it in Court, using blanks.
“I think 7 to 1 would be the only way to be truly safe.”
Yeah if he were using a six shooter! LOL!
That’s Bob Munden. He’s a world renowned trick shot artist.
That’s MY house on Wednesdays! LOL
I think this is the guy I saw doing a demo at a small gun store in National City in the early ‘80s. Scary fast!
Some of it is great , the rest is at least very good ......:o)
I just don’t care for the American Rifleman geek.
Is that Huell Howser doing the interview?
He's holding the trigger down, and "fanning the hammer back with his off-hand (notice the heavy glove on his off-hand...) This is part of what makes him so fast...
I think the gun is modified, so that when you draw you hold down on the trigger thus allowing the hammer to be freely moved. The other hand just slams down on the hammer repeatedly.
That’s Bob Munden of Butte, MT. He’s a regular on Shooting USA’s “Impossible Shots” every Wednesday night on Midway USA’s Wednesday Night at the Range on the Outdoor Channel.
Bob is getting a little long in the tooth now but he’s still darned good and a hoot to watch. All that swagger is part of his act.
Wednesday night on Outdoor Channel is my favorite TV.
The instructor spends most of his time talking about situational awareness rather than defensive weapons. While I'm as big a gun geek as they come I really like to see the emphasis on keeping yourself OUT of trouble rather than what to do once you get in to trouble.
Yep. Wednesday night is Mr. Lurkers Gun Show and Bourbon Night.
That is not a bad thing, not a bad thing at all.
Real part of the video at 1:30 left to play. Slow motion at 0:30.
Yeah I got the name of the show screwed up Best Defense was what I thought was Personal Defense etc .....my bad !
Agree we teach folks to avoid trouble. Don’t ever go armed where ya wouldn’t go unarmed unless yer a military or law enforcement and HAVE to ! Just because I am armed doesn’t make a visit to the ATM any safer at 0300L......
I honestly keep out of lots of trouble these days as I am getting “almost” to old to fight so I’d have to shoot if I get into physical a confrontation.
Somewhat quick ..............
I know I'm too old to be rolling around in the dirt. So logic dictates that the path of least resistance is to simply shoot the dirtbag.
Agree 101% !!!
The only safe way to gun fight this guy is 400 yards out with my 7.62 x 54R.
That's Bob Munden and yes he is FAST. He'll also pick you off with that revolver at rifle range distances.
He does custom work on pistols too. And it's not bragging or arrogance if you can back it up. :)
Wow, that was incredible! Thanks for posting it.
O-k. I'll make it 800 yards then.
