Revealing the background to a bathroom scene he shares with Robert De Niro in comedy hit "Meet the Fockers," Hoffman said on Wednesday that chatting while sitting on the toilet was something he had enjoyed all his life.
"When I was growing up, in my house, it was one of the best places to have a conversation.
"One person was on the toilet, like my brother or whatever, and I would sit on the edge of the tub and we'd have these wonderful conversations," he told reporters during a European promotional tour for "Fockers."
