I follow the old NHL rule, don’t celebrate the conference win any more than it’s necessity to get the big one. One for the other thumb!
Well Rush will be bragging tomorrow about how he correctly predicted it would be the Cards and Steelers in the SB.
Pitt is solid. I don’t wish to take anything away from them but they just never impress me with their wins. It’s hard to define. I think back to the prolific Cowboys SB teams of the early 90’s and know they would destroy this team or even last yr’s SB winner. The 95 49er club would likely dominate this yr’s likely champion, whomever that turns out to be. We like to think that this era is better than the last, or that the level of play is raised incrementally with each successive decade...I’m not so sure. I think we have stronger competition as the talent is more evenly distributed around the league currently. Maybe this was the aim of parity. I’m not adverse to seeing the Cardinals finally make it, though, I must say.
I beg did to differ...
Yep! He came close to guessing the final score, too: 27 - 13 Steelers
Well the NHL hockey All Star game is next weekend and there’s always the Australian Open. Also, from I see on TV a man is going to walk on water in DC this week.
That’ll be the one good part of them moving the pro-bowl into the media week, it’ll give them something else to talk about for a couple of hours. Still won’t watch the pro-bowl, it’s the worst all-star game in sports, but it might make media week slightly less boring.
But according to Rush's Environmentalist Whacko Football picks, he has to go with the Cardinals: "Who are Steelers? They pollute the air with their factories, make steel which is used in military weapons. While Cardinals are innocent birds, who are dying because of all of the pollution emitted from the steel mills."
It’s gonna be a long 2 weeks for ya. You know time is going to feel like it’s standing still.
It feels good to end the day with more cash than when I started the day, no matter how much it is!!!
Uh, yeah whatever. The 70’s Steelers whip them from any year. So what?
Meanwhile, we’re going to the Super Bowl!!! *LARGE GRIN*
The good thing is the Aussie Open is now underway. So at least there are alternatives to fill the void without football.
Have you been watching the postgame on NFLN? Antwann Randle El is cracking me up.
I’d flush that like a Koran. You’re talking to a Steelers fan here. Dallas? Boooooooooo!
There was ice skating and gymnastics on today.
Ah, no thanks!!
The speech Tiger game at That One’s corination was a short 2 minute talk focusing on a strong military.
“Yeah, I thought that shot of him kneeling out in the field was ironic. If he had made that hit, he would have been pounding his chest. I couldn’t help wondering if his agent had told him what to do if that situation ever happened. Can you tell I am not a Ray Lewis fan?”
Lewis was kneeling in prayer WHEN THE PLAYER WAS DOWN AND OUT ON THE FIELD FRIGHTFULLY INJURED. If he had hurt someone so badly, he’d be doing the same thing.
Give it a rest.
How sweet it was!
Whatever you say.
Give it a rest.
LOL, one three-line post about it and you tell me to give it a rest? It's not like I went on and on about it.
Actually, that’s for all the Lewis haters. I understand being circumspect (and I’d been fine if they suspended him), but that’s past and in any case, he was within a group, not obviously 1 who hurt anybody even accidenally.
This player is known to 1 of our family’s doctors as a nice man, and he made sure his young brother doesn’t go down any bad path by sending him to the best Catholic school here, classmate with my nephew.
A true phoenix bird!
Their last drive was a thing of beauty!
Be Ever Vigilant!
I think Capers is a good hire..though I was hoping for Sean McDermott.
