Oh, I will not have the TV on. Just hard to avoid those electronic signs on the (I-495) Beltway about the inauguration. It’s frickin’ EVERYWHERE!

“Hope is no basis for a defense policy.”

That really says it, especially looking ahead to 12:01 p.m. Tuesday. Bully for Maggie.

Thanks for this post, and all it contains. It does help.

He's a President whom I know I have beat in qualifications. I, Joe Nobody in Texas have him beat. This man would not be allowed to work in the mail room for the company I work for. He'd fail the polygraph and his previous cocaine use would disqualify him automatically.

No military, executive, foreign affairs, nor business experience, he's simply the first black man who meets the minimal qualifications while being articulate and at least appearing clean cut (Although not qualified for a T/S). Surrounded by the Clinton apparatus which will carry him, he's a sort of Manchurian Candidate, a bobble-head that promised sweet feel good nonsense to everyone on every side of any issue while benefiting from a general state of uncertainty because of the state of the economy and the Democrats relentless pounding on the Iraq war. Outspending McCain 3:1 and in critical states as much as 20:1 he simply crushed McCain in a media blitz that dominated the press and even created the news towards the end of the campaign. The media helped create this buffoon, and they will remain in his pocket for the entire time of his presidency no matter how little he accomplishes, what promises he breaks, or what backfires or fails. With red herrings, downplays, ad hominem attacks on all those that question the administration, appeals to bandwagon and emotion, the main stream media will all but be an unofficial propaganda tool of this administration.

Yellow Journalism never went away, and most the media like CNN, MSNBC or CBS are overtly in the tank with Obama and the Democrats at large. They don't even really hide it!

Do you think Obama will have to deal with an open minded media like this? zRA&eurl=http://video.google.com/videosearch?num=100&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=rather%20bush%20interview&u&feature=player_embedded

Or will Obama have to face off with journalists asking hard questions from someone like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjkgMiVKMog&eurl=http://video.google.com/videosearch?num=100&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=rather%20bush%20interview&u&feature=player_embedded

“Hope”

It’s a technique, but not a method.

My pleasure. Many of these spoke to me, and I knew that many Freepers would also connect. The Maggie quote you cited I also thought was particularly apropos.

The vegetable soup news channels are a wholly owned subsidiary, the propanda arm of the Democrat Party. :-)
