HOUSTON -- Shortly after 3 p.m. Monday, a woman armed with a bow and arrow walked into a northwest Houston business and shot a man, according to police.
The female suspect, 30, was armed with the bow, multiple arrows, and what appeared to be a handgun, which later turned out to be a fake gun.
When she was confronted by workers inside Texas Components Corporation in the 6600 block of the Sam Houston Toll Way North, she shot a 55-year-old man in the chest with an arrow.
Two workers inside the office, both with concealed gun permits, pulled pistols of their own and shot at the woman. They then ran outside and began shooting back in, according to police.
When cops entered the building the suspect was hiding in an office still armed with the bow and arrow. When confronted by police, they say she made a move.
"The suspect threatened the officer, wheeled toward him so he discharged his weapon," said Sergeant John Chomiak.
The suspect's father works at the office but police are still investigating her motive for the attack.
Late Monday, both the victim and suspect were recovering at area hospitals in stable condition.
The incident was caught on surveillance video.
Let’s check my reading comprehension:
Two folks w CCW’s can’t shoot straight enough to take her down.
The cop shows up and also can’t shoot straight.
Note: Packing ain’t enough! You MUST PRACTICE!
Given a choice, one might prefer to be shot with a bullet rather than with a broadhead. The latter will cut more than a bullet, and it's hard to remove.
I like a crossbow. It can be cocked before hand and has a safety.
Oh, ‘twasn’t me. I can’t shoot a bow for squat. A quarterstaff, now ... but I wouldn’t bring one of those to a gunfight.
are these the TARP fund arrows?
(ok just kidding)
BANG!!!
The cop shows up and also cant shoot straight.
In Texas, no less. These guys are going to be getting a heaping helping of grief from their associates.
There's gotta be a reason for this lapse in marksmanship. Maybe she's smokin' hot.
Whoops, missed the last part of the article which says that victim and suspect are both recovering at a local hospital (in separate rooms, one would hope). I guess the cop winged her, after all.
I didn’t want to make too fine a point of it, but with 3 shooters she “should” be dead.
