(Mod Note, News story in post #1) Heard on Micheal Savage last night that Obama started a fire in the fireplace and didn't understand how to work the flu (the air flow)...and then burned the fireplace mantle up. Fire trucks were called. However, no news media talks about it being Obama, not knowing how to start a fire in the fireplace....

Almost caught the white house on fire. Micheal Savage was so funny about it....

Typical for Obama....tried to go through a window, can't control a fireplace.....Can you imagine the media if that was Bush (or Palin) doing that????

WASHINGTON - D.C. fire officials say the Eisenhower Executive Office Building near the White House was evacuated for about 30 minutes because of a back up of smoke from a fireplace.

Firefighters were called to the building on 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue around 1 p.m. Saturday.

D.C. fire spokesman Alan Etter says officials suspect that there was an obstruction in a chimney, which caused light smoke to build up on the building's fourth floor. He says there was a fire in a second-floor fireplace.

Etter says the Secret Service evacuated the building as a precaution. He says there were a handful of people inside. He says firefighters put out the fire in the fireplace, and that there was no damage to the building, which houses many White House staff offices.

I believe the correct spelling of the air vent in the chimney would be flue. And this fire was not in the White House and not started by Obama as far as any sane person reading the article can tell.

Are we to believe Obama who has never started a fire in a fireplace, walked out of the whitehouse, found dry cut logs, kindling and then walked back into the whitehouse stacked it and then lit it in the fireplace with out the staff noticing?

Looks like the smartest President in history didn't realize he had to open the damper on the fireplace to let the smoke out.

He was so cold because he is from Hawaii, so he needed to destroy the environment and burn wood to get warm. And turn up the thermostat to 80 deg. after he told us we had to set ours below 70 deg. I'll bet he needs to have all the lights on too, because the dark is so threatening.

The great, all knowing Obama is so smart and above all the things us little dumb people have to deal with from day to day. The Press fully understands.
