Oh, that sounds GOOD. I’m off to the grocery store. (Had to go anyway.) :)

We have some warm weather today for the first time in almost two months. I’m looking at 38 degrees and it feels like spring....almost.

My favorite part of winter has always been coming in from the cold, pulling on thick socks, wrapping up in a fleece blanket, and settling in with a book, a cat and a mug of something warm. Hot drinks, especially those with liquor, warm us to the very core.

How does one enjoy a book while imbibing spirits?

“The historic venture started on the night of November the 10th in 1952. Jack Koeppler, then-owner of the Buena Vista, challenged international travel writer Stanton Delaplane to help re-create a highly touted “Irish Coffee” served at Shannon Airport in Ireland. Intrigued, Stan Accepted Jack’s invitation, and the pair began to experiment immediately.”

Some say that a cream allowed to “mature”, 48 hours, makes for a highly satisfactory result. Having missed the last train home, on more than one occasion, I can attest to the drink’s drinkable qualities.

Do I understand the process? Is the cream allowed to age somewhat in a temperature zone unlike that found in a refrigerator?

“How does one enjoy a book while imbibing spirits?”

Well, it helps to not be a two-fisted drinker, LOL!

LOL!

Just because I can't do it doesn't mean others can't but after just one drink, my reading ability dramatically diminishes.

It all sounds so good. I’d love to try it.
