An otherwise magnificent Super Bowl was marred by an ugly incident in the half time show as rocker Bruce Springsteen slid crotch-first into a cameraman. After assaulting the innocent cameraman, the malicious Springsteen can be seen, on video, laughing maniacally.

I didn’t watch the half-time show. It sounds like I should be glad I missed it. Nothing’s worse than an old geeser trying to stay youthful.

I switched over to TVLand at halftime and watched an old Andy Griffith Show. When it finished, I switched back just in time for the second half kickoff.

The New York Times has now corrected [1] a "smear" about Pete Seeger being 50 years too late in denouncing Stalin. Thanks to the intrepid research of Times reporter Daniel J. Wakin, the record has now been set straight. Pete Seeger was only about 40 years too late in criticizing Stalin.
