I just saw a classic car and need help remembering the model.
I dont have a pic, but the rear window was very unique.
I think it was a Chrysler car from around 1969 or 1970.
The rear window was fastback-style. The car resembled an El Dorado, but was not.
Any help?
I would love a pic from google
Thanks

Sounds like the 66 or 67 Doge Charger or Plymouth Barracuda. Both of these cars changed style in 70.

I’ll guess..barracuda?..or possibly tornado

I was thinking barracuda but didn't they make a challenger about that time also?

Since you have “television” down as the source, where/on what show did you see it?

I had a 66 Charger. 19 feet long. Originally a 383 but put a 440 bbl in it. Oceanic Green with White interior. Only sat 4 persons and was 19 feet long. The console went all the way back from the front seats. I miss it. Only got 9 MPG.

TV show is called LIFE on NBC right now...they had a scene with 3-4 old classic cars pulled up to a house to do a drug deallll

Correction. The Charger (along with all B and C bodies) changed in '68.

'68 Charger

Chrysler didn’t have anything with a split window during that time.

I loved that car. First time I ever got laid was in the back of one like that, except it was black with white stripes. Back seat folded down. That was back when people were polite enough to stay away from the back four rows at the drive in movie.

Now I feel out of place. Everybody else is talking about what was under the hood, and I was only concerned with what went on in the back seat.

I have a back glass for the 66 and 67 Charger in my garage if you know anyone that needs one. Now the window gasket is going to be hard to find, LOL.

The only one I can think of with a split rear window is a 67 Vett...

The CArger was the flagship, anyways.
It was also available in all the B body cars. That way they could go NASCAR racin'.
A good MOPAR dealer could get you a hemi in almost anything you wanted. There is record of several hemi powered four door sedans and at least two pickups.

No.
The 426 hemi may have been introduced in the 66 charger.
But there were other hemi motors in the early fifties and even before that.

But were they different from the 426? I believe so. Correct me if I am wrong. Were they 393 by chance?
