Prayers for my daughter, PLEASE [Update at #330]
self | 2/10/09 | kitkat

PLease pray for my daughter, Katie, who had a stroke and was rushed by helicopter to Cleveland for surgery. She is in her forties and has two children, one still in grade school. Since we live in different states, the information has been sketchy, but we do know that the stroke was a bad one.

Thank you ALL, Freepers are wonderful. You all were my first thought when I needed prayers.

I will keep your daughter in my prayers. My cousin had a bad stroke less than a year ago. It did not look good for a few days but he has made a complete recovery. With all these Freepers praying for her she will be fine. God bless you and your family.

Prayers have been said. Did she get sent to the Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals? I live in a burb - either way, she’s in good hands. May God keep her safe and give the doctors and all on the medical team wisdom and skill...

Hang in there kiddo.

Prayers up for your daughter, and some words of encouragement: an acquaintance of mine from church (who was in his late 30s-early 40s at the time, several years ago) suffered a bad stroke while home alone. He somehow managed to call for help, and due to quick response, is absolutely perfect (though he does need to take medication every day now). He is a true testament to the power of prayer and the mercy of the Lord. I will keep praying for your daughter to be on the receiving end of that mercy! Hugs, VRWCer

We will keep you and your family in our prayers. A friend of mine has a son who is 39 and just had a stroke also. I truly believe in the power of prayer. You have a lot of people who will be praying for her.
