Got "Milk"? If not, here's a chance to get one of the suits (including shirt and tie) worn by Sean Penn in his Oscar-nominated role as Harvey Milk.
The suit was designed for a scene in the film "Milk" to replicate that worn by the real Milk on election night Nov. 7, 1978, when a referendum to bar gays from teaching in California public schools was defeated. Milk was the first openly gay man to be elected to a major public office (the San Francisco Board of Supervisors). The film is nominated for a total of eight Academy Awards, including best picture and best costume design.
The Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, founded by the acting couple Jane Kaczmarek ("Malcolm in the Middle") and Bradley Whitford ("The West Wing"), will host the online auction of costume designer Danny Glicker's ensemble. The auction is running online at the foundation's Web site, clothesoffourback.org, and ends Feb. 28. The minimum bid was $1,000, but stood at $4,500 after the first three bidders. The suit was custom-made for Penn, and is approximately a 40 regular.

100% 'moe'hair...
Eight Academy award nominations for a POS movie that couldn’t have made it into a theater during the 30s or 40s when real movies were being made...with real stars.
It was a shoe in to win.
Sean Penn - Bush hater.
Sean Penn - playing a gay guy.
For the serious collector: the perfect companion item to go with Monica Lewinski's blue dress.
I would be surprised if Milk doesn’t win the best picture. It’s politically correct, about a famous gay man. It was tragic that he was killed. The Hollywood idiots will say that he died for a cause, that he fought discrimination against gays, and tie it all in to the current debate on same-sex marriage. They will say stop the hate, they will say Harvey Milk would have fought Proposition 8 and similar laws in other states.
A politically correct movie such as this has a strong chance to sweep the Oscars.
“I would be surprised if Milk doesnt win the best picture. “
My bet is Slumdog Millionaire.
I hope Rourke wins for best actor.
Always vote for the gay movie, thats what leftist Hollywood does. From Bareback Mountman to Boys Don’t Cry to Philadelphia. This movie does not even deserve to be awarded.
Anyway, I hope Rourke SWEEPS the ceremony.
I bid thirty cents! .... to pee on his suit... While he’s WEARING it!
“I hope Rourke wins for best actor.”
As do I. What a great comeback.
Now I need to see the movie.
