There's a lot of good stuff going on. CNN and most news has nothing you need to know. Turn it off and you'll be a lot happier. Concentrate on family, faith and building your own life, and you'll find most crises are created. Bad things have always happened, but today they're sold as being news we need to know. We don't. I Freep for a while, then do other stuff. FR is fun, but you can get down if you're on here to much. I've been sick, so on a lot more than usual.
Why was he a troop leader for Girl Scouts?
Is this a case of actual forcible rape or is this a statutory or for an old term “carnal knowledge” situation?. I would think that multiple encounters would indicate consensual sex and not forcible rape.
Of course the Girl scouts should be sued. Anyone who has a policy of letting young men work with young girls should have their head examined.

Can only guess they figured since he passed the background check and was married with children he could be as safe as any woman they could put in that role.
That is to be personally responsible for someone else's young daughters.

This shouldn’t have happened. The blame lays squarely on the radical feminists who’ve taken over the Girl Scouts, and the parents who allowed their daughters into a troop with a man for a leader.

If it was a female teacher that had done this to a male student, the male posters would be on here judging if she was guilty or not based on her looks. I doubt they will be along to do that in this case.
Exactly, since he had sex with her over the course of a year, multiple times in her own home since she was 14. I wondered why the topic title implied 'raping' and the girl said she was raped.
As I mentioned he only got a sexual conduct charge and hopefully that along with the child porn charge puts him away until his own children are in their late teens.
Exactly. No gay man should be in charge of a boy scout troop, no gay woman should be in charge of a girl scout troop and no man should be in charge of a girl scout troop.
The potential for abuse or inappropriate behavior is just too high.
I’m not going to get into a debate over “innocent till proven guilty” nonsense ... the police made an arrest based on hard evidence, including pictures that were taken, and I hope the guards let the other prisoners know why he’s there.

There is no way it could be darker than Mou Tun Fei’s “Men behind the Sun” or “Men Behind the Sun 4: Black Sun-The Naking Massacre”. I would recommend staying as far away from those movies as you possible can. Seriously, I have no soul left in me after watching those.
Anyway, yea. I try to distract myself with work, family, books, and computer games.
I wouldn’t have allowed any daughter of ours to be in that troop. I think the women should be with the girls and if it turns out there was a perp in the crowd...out that person would have been.

My daughters wouldn't have been allowed to be in that troop when they were young if there had been a male troop leader. I didn't make it overt to them, but my daughters were not left alone with any male when they were growing up, even relatives.
Oh yeah this guy is going away for a long time.
