Good evening. I always like your pictures. Sometimes I see me in the background.

I love your photos swampsniper.

I hope the adjustment to the meds gets better.

(P.S. Naps are good. I always try to get in a Sunday nap after church.)

The extreme telephoto lens shortens the image. This was shot at about 900mm equivalent focal length, almost 20X.

When I get groggy, I just have another 6 pack and then sleep it off.

The pelican is very sharp and clear...for a "long" lens.

Very nice.........

Panasonic FZ30 with an Oly TCON-17 lens. It’s a decent combo.

Thanks, Leica makes good glass. I’ve heard that Panasonic may find another source for lenses, that won’t be a good thing.

Nicely done! I love pelicans. Clumsy on the foot, but masters on the wing.

Ah, Swampy! You make my heart sing! Beautiful pics, as always. Raining here. 70 yest, dropping steadily and sposed to snow Mon—low in the low 20’s, mid 30’s for the high.

How come if they can come up with all these great meds, they can’t come up with something that doesn’t either make you fat or sleepy—or both! LOL

Most doctors seem to think that all everyone wants to do is sit on a couch. My doc isn't always pleased with some of the things I do. I know he wants to keep me alive, but I want to live while I'm alive, and there is a big difference.

While I'm out batting around with a camera I don't notice what's hurting at the moment, and I don't worry about the usual nitshat. Stuck on a couch I'd be raving and dangerous, in a very short time.

I get a laugh out of the way the pelican is eyeballing you. He sure posed perfectly for you, though.

Gorgeous shot of the sailboat. You can just feel the freshness of the air. There’s no smog or haze at the horizon.......just a razor sharp line of water. Not many places can offer that any more.

Thanks for sharing.

The haze will come with warmer weather, I’m afraid, plus heat distortion.

Keep doing what you love as long as you can! It’s better than any man made meds.

Like I told someone the other day—all those people who never eat anything good/fattening because it’s bad for them, well, they’re gonna die too. And I’m going to have a lot more fun than they do! If I want a piece of fried chicken or choc, I’m gonna eat it. LOL

That strike is something else, lots of power in that skinny neck. Fine shots!

You don't ever want to tailgate me, I'm liable to head for the ditch without warning if I see something.

People may not know of the brown pelican's large wingspan of six and a half to seven feet. They can hover in the air with their large wings. White pelicans have even larger wingspans of nine to nine and a half feet, as large as the California condor.

The Pacific branch/race of the brown pelicans are a little bigger than the Atlantic branch. Those pictured below showing off their wingspans are of the Atlantic branch.
