"I just hate the image that we give to our kids that if you're beautiful, you're beautiful and you don't have to be smart," said Del. Jeff Eldridge, (D) Lincoln County.
Delegate Jeff Eldridge introduced a bill to the house on Tuesday asking lawmakers to stop the sales of Barbie in the mountain state.

I guess they have no other problems other than worrying about Barbie..
Then they had better outlaw this too.
What will we do about this terrible crisis?
senseless.
I guess its because Muslims don’t like it
All this jackass can think about is Barbie? What a pinhead. The boy needs to get a life.
Jeff, you have way too much time on your hands apparently. Get a life.
> “I just hate the image that we give to our kids that if you’re beautiful, you’re beautiful and you don’t have to be smart,” said Del. Jeff Eldridge, (D) Lincoln County.<
We already have airheads who are “beautiful”: they’re called celebrities.
” “I just hate the image that we give to our kids that if you’re beautiful, you’re beautiful and you don’t have to be smart,”
said Del. Jeff Eldridge, (D) Lincoln County.
Does Jeff does realize that Barbie is a doll made of plastic ?
It doesn’t have a brain, so it can’t have intelligence.
Makes you wonder what kind of ..ahemmm ...dolls
Jeff has in his closet that he thinks have intelligence and beauty.
YOu are EVIL, good thing I didn’t click on that link.
“Math is tough!”
“Thinking gives you wrinkles!”
“Let’s forget all our troubles with a big bowl of ice cream!”
Lol! If you didn't click on it, how do you know it was a good thing not to? The only problem with it is it's a slow download for dial-ups.
You need to put HT alert on that i just wasted some beer and now have to clean my keyboard...
I for one, have welcomed our Barbie overlords.
“If you didn’t click on it, how do you know it was a good thing not to?”
Cause my HT trap radar was going bonkers so I hovered over the link and saw evil at work.
Michelle Obama is ugly. Seriously so.

It seems to me that since Barbie was introduced in the 1950s, the options available to women have expanded dramatically. They are the majority in our colleges now, run many of our major businesses, hold prominent positions in politics, and yet they can still choose to stay home and dedicate themselves to family if they wish. This coincides pretty nicely with Barbie’s introduction. So I’ll make the unfounded leap of logic that Barbie caused it all to happen! Thus homely feminists hate Barbie because they know it all came about because of her, not them! There, I’ve solved it all.
If it were up to me, and it’s probably a good thing it’s not, I’d do everything I could, turn over every rock, to find something to fire this guys butt!
With state and county budgets being stretched to the max, WHERE IN HELL DOES THIS GUY THINK THE MONEY IS COMING FROM TO PAY HIS WORTHLESS AZZ TO PASS LAWS ABOUT BARBIE???
Jeesh already!!!
Is this guy liberal? I see he’s a good Democrat.
I just wonder where he draws lines. He might well be one of these people who are not concerned about suggestive content in movies and TV shows, and the messages sent by rap videos and all that stuff. But, he’s acting out the marching orders of the radical feminists on this issue, that Barbie somehow sends a bad message to our daughters.
Somebody once said that you can learn a lot about people by seeing what types of things get them angry or move them to action. This dude is moved to action by a Barbie doll. He’s outraged about the messages sent by a doll. He’s outraged about what little girls will absorb from playing with dolls.
Unbelieveable.................
Things like this are why I click on the TV, turn to CSPAN, and ask, “Wonder what these a**holes are doing today?”
Our tax dollars at play.
This is what they worry about when they’re not doing everything they can to destroy America.
This is leadership?
Some Barbies teach other life lessons. Yes they do
Sounds to me as though there is a state legislaturte that doesn't have enough to occupy its time besides frivolous legislation. If I were the Gov. and heard about this one, I'd adjourn them and send them home until they were ready to conduct important business of the state.
This is absurd and is the kind of crapola that Democrats do.
When you enter hell, they will show you to Helen’s room.
Lol! A lot of people probably don't know they can see that type of link's url by hovering over it with the mouse.
Here it is in the raw...

It wasn't THAT bad, was it?
You are evil
Helen was funny the first time. The joke is the most over done.
Is that a “black eye” on Barbie??
Yes they do. It's a prelude to the Ken doll homosexual package. He probably hated GI Joe.
Is this “Twinkletoes” Eldridge a girly man, or what? Hardly an issue to be championed by anyone with a Y chromosome. But then again he is a Democrat!
I think I sure served my Lenten Penance.
First they came for Barbie, then GI Joe. Next thing you know, no more care bears or webkinz
We must stop this madness now
Some girls I know had lots of imaginative fun with their Barbies, using the Barbie Mansion in creative ways. They had a found a little tiny toy sewing machine somewhere and did the Barbie Sweatshop and the Barbie Jail.
I am sick to death of this freaking nanny state mentality. This whole it takes a village is full of (insert material here which would get me banned and my mouth washed out with soap). This is the reason why we have Zero in the White House. They are dumbing down the youth of America.
Does this liberal pond scum sucking, crack smoking, glue sniffing, tinfoil crapping democrat believe that barbies are the evil in America?? Does this idiot not realize that we have a freaking communist in the White House who is destroying our way of life so much that soon the parents of these kids won’t be able to afford a Barbie dress let alone their freaking groceries??????????
I need valium...quick.
Just because you are a politician doesn’t mean you have to be smart either.
Yeah, I get it now.......Brokeback mountain.
Would it really take that long on dial-up? How long would you estimate? (anyone)
It does though make you wonder how it long it took for that "masterpiece" to be created?
I KNEW what it was, but I had to click it.
That’s photo shopped from a real picture, right?
Don’t know...I just found it on the ‘Net.
Last time I used dial-up was a few years ago, and I was lucky to get above 8kilobyte/sec. I would guesstimate 30-45 seconds for a picture of that size.
