Spring break is coming up, which means it's time to invest in a sexy new swimsuit.

If you’re Jessica Alba, you can get away with just about anything. But if you’re not, we’ve got some great advice to make this year the best spring break beach experience ever.

Yes, going to the gym and toning up is important because swimsuits, by virtue of their form and function, tend to leave little to the imagination.

More important, however, is learning which swimsuits work best for your body type. Cuts, shapes, fabrics, prints can have a major impact on how your beach-bod looks, so it's important to be well informed before you buy so you get it right! No matter what your problem area, there's a style that's perfect for you.

Seriously, dude - if you haven't driven around a high school or college campus lately, then you'd be shocked at how obese the teenaged/twentyish girls are nowadays.

It's particularly disgusting when they wear those tight little bare midriff shirts, and in front they have that stomach paunch which hangs over their belts, and from behind, when they bend over, you can see the tramp stamp just above their cracks.

I believe that it's Free Republic tradition, as well as being simply an example of good manners, that when someone's name is mentioned that a photo be provided in order that everyone be fully familiar with who it is that's being referred to.

If these photos are insufficiently clear for the purpose of proper identification or swimsuit evaluation I have no doubt that many here will rise to the opportunity of providing more.

 

(This one seems to be a great option for a 'survival fashion'....if you need to catch some fishes, just take off your dress and use that.....)

My daughter goes to Lipscomb. She is thinnish. 5’3” 105 pounds

Her sorority sisters are overweight....at least 75% of them.

I just went thru Ole Miss this weekend and actually ate at Newks (southern Deli chain) and walked around campus (where I went)). The girls are heavier...not Wal Mart heavy but I’s say 10-15% thicker.

Myself and DC2000 went there in the 70s and the women were nearly all slender and fit and many were gorgeous. They are still pretty but just fatter.

And there is a lot of pressure there to look good. didn’t get the chance to review but I’d bet most Tri-Delts, KDs and Chi Omegas at Ole Miss are still fairly proportional...and often blonde...lol

I bet SMU in Dallas or University of Alabama, the schools most resembling Ole Miss demographics are similar today too.

Given that Free Republic is not a Socialist site that pretends to enforce jackbooted 'equality' in every thread, there will naturally be some threads which appeal more to some than others.  The Fox News article which this thread is derived from is entirely and exclusively pertaining to ladies' swimsuits.  It's an article devoted to assisting ladies in selecting the proper suit for their body type, and FReeper men, being legendary for their kindness, benevolence and fashion sense to name but a few virtues, are of course delighted to assist in this worthy cause.  Nowhere in the article are men's suits addressed.  Therefore, it's to be expected that the responding posts in this thread are also addressing the essential topic of ladies' swimsuits.
