Since Obama promised transparency, he should have posted a list of the gifts he got when he was inaugurated.

I can't find a list anywhere.

This is why I have longed argued that ALL late night talk shows should be treated as in-kind contributions to the DNC by the FEC - and I'm really not kidding.

For any comedian with half a brain and a one person writing staff, this would be comedy gold for a week, maybe longer. Imaging if such a thing happened in GWB's family.

I've been watching Letterman's opening monologue closely since Jan. 20th - and, surprise, surprise - not one joke at the direct expense of BO - not one. Sure, there's been a few tax cheat cracks aimed at Daschle and whomever, but nothing at Obama.

The steward, housekeeper, or such other employee of the Executive Residence at the White House as the President may designate, shall under the direction of the President, have the charge and custody of and be responsible for the plate, furniture, and public property therein. A complete inventory, in proper books, shall be made annually in the month of June, under the direction of the Director of the National Park Service, of all the public property in and belonging to the Executive Residence at the White House, showing when purchased, its cost, condition, and final disposition. This inventory shall be submitted to the President for his approval, and shall then be kept for reference in the office of the Director of the National Park Service, which shall furnish a copy thereof to the steward, housekeeper, or other employee responsible for the property.

2009 Gifts
During the Inaugural Luncheon it is traditional for the President and Vice President to be presented with gifts by the Congress on behalf of the American people. The President and Vice President will each be presented with a framed official photograph taken of their swearing-in ceremony by a Senate photographer, as well as flags flown over the U.S. Capitol during the inaugural ceremonies.
The President and Vice President will also receive one-of-a-kind engraved crystal bowls, created by the Lenox Company of Lawrenceville, NJ.
