I was watching ‘The Running Man’ a couple of weeks ago. It was surprisingly prescient.

The problem with that is the Eddie Murphey character did a better job than Dan Aykroyd’s character.

When that movie was first released, one of the reviews proclaimed, “Finally, a movie that lives up to its name!”

I second the motions for "Titanic." When I read the various financial doomsday predictions that seem to be coming true before our eyes I think of the engineer on the Titanic who explained to the captain why it was a "mathematical certainty," I believe he called it, that the ship would sink.
"Dr. Zhivago" also comes to mind. For example, when Zhivago returns home from WWI to find his home has been redistributed so that his family is now restricted to a couple rooms. They even have their own commissar from the DNC. I mean Communist Party.

"Blazing Saddles" Clearly, Obama's not cool enough to be portrayed by Cleavon Little. You must be referring to Mel Brooks' Governor William J. Lepetomane. That fits.
