Kansas? Split with Mizzou and lost in the tournament?
#2 seed?
North Carolina #1?
I guess it’s remotely possible their AD’s are on the committee?

If KU gets a #2, send ‘em to Boston.
Why let them have home games? They’re a dicey #2 at best.

Kansas won the regular season conference title. However, a case could be made that there are better #2 seeds.
Memphis deserves a #1.
Once again, the Big East and Big 10 will be overhyped, and middle tier teams like Maryland and Penn State do not desserve to be automatically given a bid. They are just not that good.
To: KC_Conspirator
KU is 4-4 nonconference if we remove Coppin, UMKC, Albany etc.

Mizzou is 7-2 doing the same schedule surgery. I think both are justifiable 3 seeds and OU a 2.

Well, KU did play well at the beginning of the year. Its obvious that were young and got better as the season progressed. But they did destroy Missouri at the end of the season.
To: Perdogg
You could make a better case for Memphis, although having the Little Sisters of the Poor in their conference is a drag on their resume.

They split home/home and then choked in the tourney.
I don’t see it.
Points differential is not a qualification.

One game does not make a season - unless of course your MU. KU did not rush the court like it was the greatest achievement in life when they beat MU, unlike the Tigers.

I think that my Florida Gators may sneak in.......NOT!
I hope that at least the FSU Seminoles will get a good seeding regardless of the result of today’ ACC Championship game between FSU and Duke....
To: Perdogg
It is true that the Final Four is in Bailout City?

I think that my Florida Gators may sneak in.......NOT! As a UofK fan, I feel your pain. I'll be cheering on Louisville this year (and hoping Duke falls short, starting today...)

I’m OK with that; I’m not pimping for a #2 for Mizzou, but I honestly think Oklahoma the more righteous #2 seed than either.
Too many years Kansas gets a home seed no matter what. OK, #2, Boston.
Mizzou, #3, KC. I’d be OK with that. Mizzou’s season rates a 3, no better, unless Duke were to lose today.

7 seed playing Dayton isn’t a bad match up. But lurking as a #2...uh, oh...

Oh, I was just trying to twist your Tiger tail. In reality I dont think KU deserves a 2 seed.
To: KC_Conspirator
That’s OK, we had to suffer through hair boy, so nothing affects me anymore. To be honest, I hate KU but I like Self. If it came down to KU-UNC I’d have to root for a massive explosion, but second would be Roy getting humiliated.

Not suprising because there is a rule not to put more then 2 from the same conference as number 1 seeds. Plus UConn lost twice to Pittsburgh.

The highest SEC seed with a #8 (LSU), had MSU not won the tourney only two SEC teams would have made it.
Can you say, “Football Conference”?

I actually think that KU and the Big 12 is much better when MU is good. And I think there is no reason for MU cant be good every year.
After watching the selection shows, apparently we are just supposed to coronate the Big East. Jay Bilas also says some of the dumbest things.
To: Perdogg
Update — Ty may sit out Thursday’s game to further rest his toe. I can’t say I’m surprised — it’s a 1-16 matchup in Greensboro...
