Speaking as a Texas who has known Ron Paul for about 30 years, believe men when I say he is not much different from any other self serving politician. He is not to be trusted.

Really? Where'd you hear that? Last I heard Paul infused it with two million dollars from his remaining presidential campaign funds. But that was a while ago. I don't really pay much attention to them but they seem to have enough members paying $35 a year dues to be alright.

The point being: Ron Paul is a fun-to-watch, tremendously goofy gadfly who has never had any practical effect on the operation of government, especially when it comes to spending.
