Reminds me of folklore I was told from the Caucasia ...supposedly defeated by an invading army who were now hiding in the surrounding mountains, villagers gathered their flocks of sheep and placed lighted candles on each pair of ram’s horns ....and managed to frighten the marauders away who thought it was an army coming to get them at night.
