The NCAA Tournament commences Thursday night with four games in the round affectionately known as the Sweet 16. While the dearth of upsets thus far might have zapped some of the excitement out of the tournament, the advantage is that, according to the seeds, many of the top teams remain alive, including five from the Big East.

Xavier ... my guys all the way. Basketball isn’t my game but March madness fuels the fire. Football, mostly NFL type is my game of preference ... Go Broncos.

Big year for Big East @ 13-2 so far in the Tourney. Pitt, UConn (throght to the Elite Eight),’Cuse and ‘Nova still alive.

Jeepers, I forgot to mention that the Big East’s Louisville is also still in the hunt. Pitt’s my favorite ... they have been making it interesting, not convincing.
